No joke, I believe there is a conspiracy against the Blazers by the Rockets.

Yao's behind the back fast break dribble drive for a dunk, the crazy last second and 1 to give us the lead in OT (before Roy's game winner), his best playoff performances......All against Portland

Camby is just as much of a risk. Probably more so. I would love if the Rockets could land Oden. But I'm sure LeBron and Pat Riley are promising him whatever he wants.

Oden can be a beast on defense and at least adquate on offense - if he has anything left in the tank. But I´d feel comfortable with starting the season with Howard/Oden/Smith as our Cs.

Both him and Camby are gambles. The difference is, Oden has a higher reward if he turns out ok, while Camby has a higher ceiling.

    What could have been!

    Oden
    Aldridge
    Roy

If healthy...Portland would have wrecked the league!

Give him some bionic limbs and watch him destroy anything near the basket

Funny going through there and reading DD and some others trumpeting Thabeet. "Oh, he will turn it around! You'll see! He's just not being given an opportunity!"

As for Oden, I'll take him for the minimum with a 2nd year team option.

He already has a 3rd bionic limb dude.

Google "Greg Oden 3rd leg" and you'll see what I mean.

If Miami signs him and he can give them 20 quality minutes a game, no other NBA team has a chance...reason enough to sign him if you want to beat Miami for a championship.

Bosh is nbot a C and that's why he struggled for a lot of the playoffs. Oden allows Bosh to go back to his natural position. If Miami gets him healthy, the leagues in big trouble again.

I can't imagine him signing here even if we are showing genuine interest. Signing to be a 3rd string center?

I think if we get oden then we really would trade asik.

I think morey feels a solid back up is crucial maybe even more so then what an upgrade at the 4 would bring.

I think Aldridge could serve as both though.

This whole thread screams misunderstanding. Possibly by the OP -- Aldridge may have been referencing suitors for Oden and Camby and the poster got confused which is which. Or maybe Aldridge is the one that got confused on live TV and had a slip.

Either way, I'm immediately skeptical of all "heard it on TV/radio" rumors. In this era, if someone has any new concrete information, they'll post it on Twitter and/or their website almost immediately. It's now 12 hours later, and still nothing from anyone. Fairly certain this was a misunderstanding.

Personally, I'm happy to go into the season with an active roster of these 13:

    Howard/Asik/smith
    Jones/DMo/smith/Casspi
    Parsons/Garcia/Casspi
    Harden/Williams
    Lin/Beverly/Brooks

    D-league:
    14. Covington
    15. Cannan
