Haven't messed with a N7, but I've heard those reports. Something about a bug with how ASUS handled TRIM commands I think (not really RAM, though more always helps I guess)? Think you can make it somewhat better, but not sure it is easy to get back to day 1 performance: http://www.howtogeek.com/164106/why-is-my-nexus-7-so-slow-8-ways-to-speed-it-up-again/ Presumably they fixed this with the new model. I'm thinking about getting one myself (been using the TouchPad).
I tried going from the TP to the Nexus 7 last year, but found it too damn tiny to serve as a tablet. I'd almost always end up going back to my Cyanogenmod TP or my phone instead of the 7. I personally don't like the 7" form factor, too big to put in your pocket, and too small to warrant a decent case/laptop bag.
ordered my Chromecast once I got an email about it, $40 is a steal especially since it supports Apple products
Chromecast is available on Amazon. It's also eligible for free 2 day Prime shipping. http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00DR0PDNE
Alright, well I just completely wiped and flashed the stock images of Android 4.3 for the Nexus 7 and yeah, this thing is fast as **** now. Ordering Chromecast now.
Ordered a Chromecast too. Just yesterday my parents were complaining that they wanted to watch Netflix on their TV. I was going to give them my PS3, but this works out so much better!
No they have iphones and ipads. There's a smart TV in the living room, but they wanted it for the bedroom.
My N4 has better touch sensitivity now, but it was already such a beast on 4.2.2 that it's hard to notice any performance improvements with 4.3. Gotta try it on the N7 next...
Definitely. I didn't have any issues with 4.2.2 on my N4. They also added Miracast on N10 with this update.
Looks like a neat device. I'm intrigued. Looks like what I'll need for my HBO GO to work again, since it stopped working on my google tv box.

^ haha, yeah, buying it at MSRP AND spending their gas going to the retail store. Still want to wait for some full consumer reviews of it.
