Assuming he doesn't play up to his contract (which I would argue he already has), would Morey trade him for someone with a better contract with less talent?

Harden-Howard PNR will be deadly -- but we need other weapons. i think the Rockets want to be in win-now mode, but they're certainly not ready.

    not with these guys:
    TJones, DMo, GSmith, Beverley, Canaan

if they don't spend the necessary effort to develop the talent they have, they might as well quit right now, because they are not going to get better and the trade prospects are not going to get better either.

I was thinking that doesnt mean that at all.

it gives you more flexibility to confuse defenses.

We have an option to let Lin start pick and roll with howard

He can pass to howard on the roll...shoot it himself... OR kick it to harden to drive or shoot when the defense has already scrambled to cover the Lin/Howard pick n roll

then the exact same scenario for harden/Howard pnr.

It would be interesting to know what type of scoring was produced when JLin was forced to his left vs right hand. I think teams are forcing him left, which results in a fadeaway or he picks up his dribble to pass out to the wing.

Well if Morey could, then of course he will. It's a matter of would other teams trade for him.

harden is more dynamic from a playmaking standpoint.. he can drive it in and finish at the hoop, make the mid range shot or pass off to the open shooter. i can see lin spotting up to take the open shot and then drive to the basket off of a fake. he can still be effective on the offensive end.

you think jlin is a championship caliber pg?

how teams have won it all with their pg earning the least among the starters?

I don't think that really has had much of an effect. But I haven't watched a lot of games this year. Everyone was already saying how his left hand sucked - even before the Laker game. By Laker game, I mean that 38 point one.

    No

If it is Lin passing it out then the odds are it would result in a turnover.

32% chance in turnover based on assists to turnover ratio.

Sure, two dominant pick and roll guards with the most dominant pick and roll big. Sounds good to me.

Just wondering is there any stats showing PP(P+A) ?
Just saw a Coach Nick clip, and it shows Lin is at 90% tile.

Only if it opened the door to getting someone else that made the overall team even better.

At this stage Morey is no longer in "collect valuable assets mode" he's in, "build the best team around "H"-Town and where I can collect valuable assets mode"

So if he can't find someone better than Lin, or find a package that moves Lin and brings back a pg/pf combo that is an overall upgrade to what we have now, Lin is going to stay here. It's as simple as that.
