Makes sense. Miller has 2 rings already. Houston is more fun city than OKC and we're contenders anyway.
I am really curious...we always get info slower then how it is happening. I wonder if the rockets have moved to gary neal instead. I think miller would be enough and I doubt there would be much point in landing miller and neal. But I guess they will go after the vet with championship experience and if that fails maybe change direction. With millers health I think I would prefer neal. But I think a SF and back up stretch 4 is more needed. I dunno ... I guess either way it would be good.
Miller is a ranked a couple spots over neal on the FA list by sheridan not sure how good he is but... I guess that answers my question ha http://www.sheridanhoops.com/2013/0...t-available-nba-free-agents-july-24-update/2/
Morey timed his run for Miller just right. He sent his wildcard in Parsons to talk to Miller and from there game over Lin/Bev Harden/Miller/Williams Parsons/Garcia/Miller Jones/Dmo/Garcia/Casspi Howard/Asik/Smith That's a very deep team with incridiuble interior defense/rebounding and loaded with shooters..
This gotta be the most fashionable reply in GARM. It's catching on like a wildfire. Wanna look cool? Bye Lin. Wanna meet new friends? Bye Lin. Wanna show off something new? Bye Lin. Bye Lin!
My guess is we moved up because we increased our offer to the Room exception, but who knows with Morey. I'd probably prefer Neal because he can backup Harden, but I think he's looking for a bigger contract.
It wouldn't matter. As Miller was amnestied, any contract he gets would simply reduce what Miami owes him. If he signs for more than the minimum the only person benefiting is the owner of the Miami Heat.
I thought that was only if he didn't clear waivers. If he signs as a free agent, doesn't he just collect a 2nd paycheck?
Actually it doesn't matter. the Amnesty Clause in the NBA CBA specifically says that if an amnestied player becomes a free agent he can only get offers of the vet minimum anyway.
Yea the process is a bit confusing. Only teams with salary cap space are allowed to bid on an amnestied player so since nobody bid on him he's a free agent. Not sure how it works after that.....
