If Metta or Ron can become a very good player in this league, Cousins will mature. He does not even have to deal with mental health other than immaturity and attitude
Surprised his career FG% is as low as 44.8%. and yes their is nothing wrong with being confident/cocky but it comes off wrong when your widely regarded as a headcase with a bad locker-room attitude and haven't led his team to much winning.
He may well have to deal with mental health issues that just is not diagnosed or at least made public. The difference is that Ron always could play and help you win even when he was smashing TV equipment out of frustration. Cousins has so far struggled with translating his skills into actual on-court winning performance-- shoots a low% and let's pouting affect his game (most directly letting b****ing to the refs prevent him from running back consistently on D).
He had issues in high school, in college, with Paul Westphal and with Keith Smart. We'll see what he does this year with new coach, GM and even ownership.
Pair him up with the Greats.... and maybe McHale Sometimes it does wonders It's a risk ... and if he can turn into a great player before turning 30 that's a success, even after 30 a mild success
Well said and straight to the point! Those numbers do look good IF that's all we have to go by. The problem that I have is that he hasn't really excelled in a very bad team. Usually a good/great player is able to pad his stats in a bad team! When you look at it from that angle his 20/10 numbers become LESS impressive. There is only one constant in all this turmoil, it's the immature brat that blames everyone else for his own personal demons. Sooner or later he is going to run out of people to point his finger at. ....... ....... .......
Cousins has not been part of a good organization as of now in the Sacramento Kings. Yet, he has never demanded a trade, and if I remember correctly, he even said he wants to be known for being a person that sticks through thick and thin with an organization. (Please correct me If I'm wrong) My point being - character issues? Not to me. Not after how he has handled his time in Sacramento. Inability to control his emotions leading to stupid decisions? Absolutely. I've watched majority of his games last year because he was on my fantasy team. Was really a beast when he put his mind to it. I would take him over anybody in that list, but I do like Andre Drummond a lot!

He has the most offense out of all those guys but about half that list can leave him in the dust defensively and on the boards. If Davis can advance his offense a little bit this season I completely agree.
i think each team has the ability to absorb one knucklehead without ruining the chemistry of a team. more than one knucklehead, and you are in trouble. great example is the Wizards from a few years ago...who had Nick Young, JaVale McGee, and Andre Blatche at the same time....just terrible. Tyreke + Cousins was one too many. Lets see how Cousins does as the sole locker room bad guy.
The Cousin's hate is insane. Look who he's playing for. Horribly dysfunctional franchise with zero leadership, and he is still produces on barely 30 minutes a night... If he gets smart and leaves the Kings, there are quite a few franchises that would be able to utilize his skills better and realize his potential.
He really didn't have any issues in college. Keith Smart was an issue for the entire team. Terrible coach
