Dont download anything and just fight through all the ads...Sucks but better than nothing. Been watching the Astros on local tv since 1977...oh well
He certainly wasn't sharp, but still 7 good innings. Could have given up 0 runs if Altuve and Dominguez don't make mistakes. Glad Porter let him stay out there, he gets into trouble but in 2 starts shows a good gamesmanship to get himself out of trouble.
First Overall draft pick is the only thing holding me back from throwing my beer bottle through the TV
Chapman can take Wesley Wright's spot too. Walks be damned, at least he's actually somewhat effective against lefties.
Hope enough people stuck around to see that finish tonight. Easily the most excited I've been watching the Astros this season.
not gonna lie, i left in the 8th (but would have no matter what the score was). gotta be up early, but i guess i would have stayed if i knew that was gonna happen?
Oakland's a really tough team... while they're not scoring a ton of runs lately, they certainly make a conscious effort to work the count, foul off pitches, and get on base any way possible. If Cosart was making his debut in the good ol' NL Central, he'd already have two double digit K games!
Cosart's strikeout numbers have always been below what you'd expect them to be based on his stuff. But his groundball numbers are just fantastic, and if he can learn to go after hitters without elevating pitches, I think that's his calling card long term.
I think this is the first time I've watched a post-game show all year. When did Eric Young become an Astros studio guy? Was an actual ex-astro not available? That being said, he's pretty funny... "We need some Spring time in the Summer now... you know what that means, its what the name say... Spring time!"
