Also, I'm pretty sure the American Cancer Society does mileage reimbursement for trips to the hospital. I heard talks of them ending this, though, so I'm not totally sure if they still do.

Not being in Houston I can't help with your fund raiser but wish you the best of luck and hope Seth beats his cancer.

Updated with photos, and Videos. He came home today for his three week stay until his next chemo battle. Hes happy, except when he has to throw up, which is quite often. Thank you all for the support.

As far as medicine is concerned, have you or any other family member spoken to a patient advocate at TCH? I worked at MD Anderson as a financial counselor and the patient advocates would be the first place to start for any financial assistance programs that are available for patients through either the hospital or another organization. Second, if the drugs that he needs are chemo drugs, quite a few of the pharmaceutical companies do offer vouchers for the drugs themselves. Definitely speak to a financial counselor there if you or his parents haven't done so. The current hospital where I work at has a program that is funded by the employees where they would donate PTO time that is exchanged into monies to be used to help patients with bills. It's not degrading at all to ask for assistance for someone that can't do it themselves like your nephew.

I saw the link for this when moes posted on Facebook! I wish I had money to send but I'm currently unemployed. I will pass it on in hopes others can contribute. Good health wishes to your nephew and prayers for your whole family.

To gain more exposure, you should also post to reddit.com/r/houston Certainly there should be a lot of people willing to help in that subreddit.

Hayesfan, If your the same one in the Game Day Chats, Sweetie, you've brought enough smiles to my face. I was Nickster in there. Hey, don't worry about the money, this isn't just about the money. This is about showing that little man, that as he grows up, he gets his first heart break, he loses his first dog, he questions why are people so mean, why are we at war, he will get to the point and question if we, as Humans, are even good anymore

At that point I will pull out all these posts, all these donations, all these prayers, all the gift baskets, all the comments and show him "Son...this world is a wonderful place. Your blessed beyond belief, for you are living proof that you were so special you had everyone , strangers family, friends, fighting for you. We NEVER gave up, we fought beside you the entire way"

I'm a blessed man. I want to personally thank Clutch. It's because of people like him, that run sites like these, that give the chance for me to even reach out. He could have quit this site years ago, saved a ton of money probably but didn't. He didn't because of us. I've very proud to say I am ClutchFans fan. I will keep this updated, with videos, pictures, and see if I can finally get one of our stars to retweet me LOL.

This is his new site https://www.facebook.com/sethtorresstrong

If you guys can share it, like it I'd really appreciate it. It has photos of him, videos of his gifts, stuff I've been able to order for the benefit because of your donations, stuff like that. Thank you guys for everything you've done so far. I am SO blessed. I really him. I also hope I see a few of you at the Benefit, I'd love to have some representation of this wonderful forum. I'd like to take pictures of it, and video it, and maybe clutch can put it on the main page for a few days. Just to show everyone why this board IS top notch, and it's members are the best in the world.

If anybody from here shows up, just ask me Nick, and you got a beer on me sir, or ma'm

I've shared on Facebook, twitter, and instagram and will continue to share that flyer this week until the benefit.

Anything more about Seth's interests? Just in case people want to send him gifts? I see that he likes dinosaurs from the facebook page. I know he's only 3, but does he have any interests in any of the Houston sports teams? or anything else?

    Seth is in my prayers

Seth does love Dinosaurs. As far as sports teams, he will watch Rockets with me, I just gotta be careful I don't cuss....much, when we play bad haha.

He likes cars stuff, he likes picture books, coloring books. I recently got him a bunch of flash cards. He really isn't picky. Any kind of cool hats are awesome, since he will be losing his hair in about 2 weeks.

He likes The Avengers. Loves the Hulk and Iron Man. He really is just a simple, regular boy, except he has cancer.

I appreciate you guys, and gals, sharing the info getting the word out. We have the flyer at around 40 restaurants, places of business up and down 290. I just want the benefit to do good. Cheer my sister up. Cause as good as she is right now, she hasn't hit that wall yet. Eventually she will, and it will test her character, her faith, her endurance. When that time comes, I really hope money will be the least of her worries. Of course I help out, but some of those medicines are stupidly expensive.

What's really going to get expensive is if his appetite doesn't pick up. Then it's Ensure, an that stuff is liquid gold.

I really hope I see one of ya'll out there. Never met anybody off of here. I keep his site updated, I was to tired to tonight though. Will update tomorrow morning before work

You can make this stuff at home and save a lot of $.

    Ensure Substitute

1/4 can sweetened condensed milk (adjust to taste)
    1 tsp. vanilla
    1/2 cup fresh strawberries
    1/2 cup whole milk
    2-3 T. protein powder

    Mix well in blender.

    Optional, but recommended:

    2-3 tablespoons wheat germ
    1/2 tsp. Omega 3 oil
Vitamin powder (follow directions on can)

    link

Also, check out the Dave Ramsey stuff on how to save a ton of money (I can email you some stuff, xerobull at gmail). A penny saved is a penny earned.
