PG: lin, bev (canaan and brooks wont get much time)
    SG: Harden, Neal?
SF: parsons, garcia, casspi (wont play much)

4 man backcourt rotation of lin, bev, harden, neal looks pretty good to me.

i'm all for it. who cares about a logjam in july? let them all battle it out in training camp to make the roster, then battle it out in preseason to make the rotation, then work hard all season or lose your minutes. competing for jobs will bring out the best. the rest can go.

I'd give him the room exception. He would fit well next to harden.

Why are people so high on Neal? He's a decent shooter and that's it. He doesn't bring anything else to the table.

Well, good outside shooting is a premium, especially on a roster consisting of two stars who will collapse a defense on a regular basis.

But yea, he's just like Daniel Gibson.... a one-trick pony, undersized two-guard who excelled in a system he fit in and under a coach who knew how to utilize his strengths and hid his weaknesses.

It is beyond me how the seeming consensus of the board is euphoric jubilation when we sign someone that teams like the Bobcats and Cavs and Kings have buried at the ends of their benches, but one of sneering at the prospect of someone like Gary Neal, who was the starting 2-guard for the San Antonio Spurs. It was only last fall that my greatest hope for our eventual backup 2-guard was Danny Green, because I though he was terrific, and he was on the bench behind Gary Neal. Danny Green improved, particularly in becoming a defensive stopper, and Neal lost the starting job. And now Gary Neal is available, and people sneer.

All of the free agents we've signed this year (except Howard, of course) would have been cut from last year's team. Gary Neal is a much higher caliber player. Having him would completely change the complexion of our bench.

He's more than a decent shooter. He is a career 39.8% 3pt shooter and shot 42% in two of his 3 seasons. He would fit perfect in our offensive.

you still need a pg who can create. Harden can't do it every possession. People forget Lin still lead the team in assists. Harden gonna have no gas left in the 4th if he's gotta create all game.
