Is there a video of Olden Polynice talking about guarding Hakeem? He matched up with Hakeem more than any other center in NBA history. It slowly drove him insane to the point where he started dressing up and masquerading as a police officer.

I wonder if we can have Hakeem, Yao and Mutombo broadcast a Rockets game together for CSN. Nobody would understand a thing they say but it'll be entertaining.

Yao usually did a fine job on Dwight Howard because even though Dwight is quick, he has no shooting range so Yao doesn't have to chase him outside the paint. It's with the Carlos Boozers that Yao struggles on D.

Cool video, but who are these guys and what do they know about a player as great as Dwight?

I'd pay to just sit and let them talk basketball for two hours. Both such great basketball minds. I think Yao needs to put some time in with Hakeem this summer.

That's how I remember it... Yao was able to body him up on D and shoot over the top of him on offense. You can see how Yao talked about having to compensate for his lack of speed by giving up space... Pretty cool little video.

    Yao Head-to-Head vs Dwight:
    Yao: 23.6pts (.561%) 10.4r (3.0 offensive) 2.7blk in 35mins
    DH: 12.2pts (.451%) 9.8r (1.8 offensive) 1.7blk in 34mims

Rockets were 7-2 in those games. Yao shot .789 from the free throw line, Dwight was at .600...

    Yao had 7 x 20 point games including the 37pts 4blk demolition job & , Dwight just 1 x 20 point game...

    I miss Yao...

Yeah, I loved that interview on the Matt Thomas show with Drexler and Hayes after the Dwight Howard introduction. Matt Thomas didn't say a word, he just let them converse for like 4 or 5 minutes, it was great.
