Probably because no one wants to watch censored versions of media that's meant to be uncensored.

Doesn't Netflix also have Wilfred and Louie?

well...for the price of netflix you'd be forgoing a burrito. Do you really want that burrito? I mean it would be pretty good.

The same people complaining about the price are the same ones who paid blockbuster 5 dollars for 3 days.. Netflix is 8.99

I just spent the weekend finishing "Orange is the new black".
Exec Producer Jenji Kohan's character development is really solid.
Her understanding and depiction of social order, race and sexuality is what makes this one of my fav new shows.

    White-boy burritos, maybe.

I can get 3 huge breakfast burritos down at El Taco Guapo for the price of Netflix.

I still prefer Netflix to something like Hulu due to wide range of device support. Plus Hulu's commercials can **** off.

Movies on Netflix are getting lackluster though.

I got halfway through the first episode and was bored, other than the tittays. But I'm reading good reviews so I'm going to give it a try again.

I've made it through about half way through the season and I am enjoying it as well. It's basically Weeds except the main character is in jail.

Hey fellas, I'll have to retract my statement about what I said about Orange is the New Black. I finished Season 1 tonight and was pleasantly surprised. I think watching a new TV show takes patience and it's easy for one to make assumptions about it and stop watching. I do think Netflix has something cooking for this one. The show makes references to modern people, trends, and events on things I haven't heard of (or does that me a turtle in a shell?).

To answer the OP's original question, I think Netflix is worth renewing. At $8 per month, that's a great price point for anyone who wants to get into some real good content on movies, TV shows, foreign films, and documentaries on a budget. Albeit, Netflix has content that doesn't have newer movies or recent TV shows that say maybe DirectTV might have but who really wants to shell out $100 a month for that? I do think Netflix has something going on with their original TV series in House of Cards and Orange is the New Black. There were a few articles floating around recently about how Netflix is trying to capitalize on the new model where an all season material at once is the new way for viewers to consume TV shows subsequently sans commercials instead of a week to week episode release.

I think Netflix will be sticking around for awhile given their contract deals with numerous studios and the like. I've been more than happy enjoying my Netflix subscription at $8 a pop per month.

You have to understand that people of mine and Deckard's generation are still using dial-up modems. :(
