Personally, my frustration is more with MLB than it is with the Astros. Forcing us into the AL is not something I wanted or supported. The virtual stranglehold that east coast teams have on players and talent. The lack of a serious hard cap. The fact that the Yankees will always be able to buy the best talent while other teams cannot, pretty much killed it for me.

Its no wonder why teams like the Astros can make a run, maybe once every 20 or 30 years but they always have a very short window, then its all over and back to the bottom. While teams like the Yankees just keep making the postseason every single year.

Not interested in that. If the MLB wants my money their going to have to earn it and not cheat me by making me watch crap for 20 years and then I finally get to see a good team and then the next year we are crap again for another 20 years. Tired of it, done, not going back.

They're one of the sugar land skeeters farm teams. They have brought them promosing prospects like Jason lane and roger Clemens.

    People are mad.

AL switch, it was annoying, but it doesn't matter to me. I'm over it. I don't go to as many games (but I still go to games) as I did when they were mildly competitive, but they're still my team (behind the Rox, of course). They still have DAT H on their uniforms. Minute Maid is still an amazing facility (with a slightly obstructed view of downtown, now).

Hell, the Astros have awarded me with more positive moments than the Texans, that's for sure.

They're on the right track. See you on the bandwagon in a couple of years.

    Well... hello

I voted Astros. They suck so much that they can't even suck right.

I'm so glad that the worst major pro team in Houston is in the most boring sport.

Yup. Screw them for getting swept in the World Series? Boo hoo. I'm more mad at them for delaying the inevitable: having to rebuild.

100% agree there too. Until Bud randomly brings it up when absolutely no one's talking about it.

Also true. But that might be changing.

Probably won't be seeing a few of these people on the wagon. That's fine.... for some, baseball's not really their thing. But I see some trashing their hometown team (assuming they live here). Whatever... you guys can be Dallas Rangers fans. I hear there's plenty of room left on that wagon. Just don't suddenly have a change of heart in a couple of years.

    Cool.

    Cool.

I would have to go with the Astros. Villar coming up might not set the world on fire, but it will be a definite improvement on what we have been getting at SS this year. They will probably move guys like Norris/Bedard which could hurt a bit, but at some point we should see Springer also which, like Villar, can only help. Plus, like very early in the year we are in the middle of a terrible stretch of baseball right now, a better stretch will be coming soon. I say the Astros get to 57-59 wins.

The Rockets have the talent to get to that number in my opinion, but they would have to put it together right from the beginning to do so and that isn't likely. As long as they are playing well at the end though, that is what will matter.

I don't blame the Astros as much as I blame the game.

Baseball has been slowly falling in popularity of people under 30 for years now. It's not America's game anymore and it's niche is dying with every old fan that passes. The Astros 5 year plan with the rise of the Rangers doesn't help either.

The Astros never gave me the appeal to like the game of baseball or their team. The Cubs, on the other hand, did the exact opposite. Now I play fantasy baseball and enjoy rooting for the Cubs regardless of their record.

Morey should trade for Astros' draft picks.

Bandwagon fans are my Biggest Pet Peeve. Support your team all the time, or don't support them at all.

You didn't like the Astros, so you decided to root for the Cubs? Wow. Trading a temporarily bad team for a permanently bad one...

I never said I disliked the Astros. I said the Astros never gave me an appeal to root for them. There's much more of a stronger baseball culture tied with the Cubs, the Astros were always shoved behind the Oilers/Texans and Rockets growing up.

Also, if you're going to take a jab at the Cubs, at least do it with a team that has done something in their history.

I like the Astros, but they are painful to watch this year. It's possible they will have the worst average attendance from all Houston sports teams this year including Rockets (now that Howard is on board) and the Dynamo.

Exactly...you might not watch every second of every game but deserting them? How does that make you any better than the people who float from team to team. People who are Heat fans now used to be Lakers fans and were Bulls fans before that. To me part of the fun is watching a team build to something good like th e early 90's Astros. I know everyone is different though...

I have to go with the DisAstro's winning more games .... Even if they lose 100 , which is in general a historically bad season , the Rockets have to win 62 games to equal the win total.

A 60 win season in the NBA is very good .... They are a solid team but 60 W's in this deep (again) Western Conference is asking a while lot and still not enough to eclipse the win total of a 62-100 baseball team. It takes 62-20 to push .... Just cant see it.

Sure would like to see them go 73-9 .... Just to outdo the Jordan Bulls.

    The answer is officially YES.

    Astros went 51-111

    And we now have 52
