D'Antoni is a big joke. Only player he cares about is 40 old Nash. He did not appreciate PNR roll man Dwight and can't control Kobe like Mike Brown.
Now that he's no longer a Laker, he can be honest about the whole thing, just confirms what Doc said anyway.
Wait, forget about Kobe. Did I just read that Metta is filming a segment for the Hallmark Channel's 'Home and Family'? Hilarious. Gotta love this guy.
come on, was there ever any doubt? My guess on a holdup is that Bird doesn't want to pay the super max if he gets another all nba selection.
Well, to be fair, the doubt came when George HIMSELF said, "It would be tough to tell the Lakers no." If he had never said anything, none of this speculation would have even started.
He actually never says what the headline claims. He said it wouldn't be smart for him, but that's based on current situations. It also probably reflects the reality that he's come to realize he has no choice in the matter next year.
this headline is all you need to know when it comes to the Lakers now. Lower expectations next season should give Mike D’Antoni a real chance with the Lakers aim low. oh how the might have fallen...
"Don't worry guys, we're better off without him. I mean, Flip Murray is just as good and he's a fraction of the price. Just wait until next year, when we can sign Aldrige, Love, and Kyrie Irving." - Laker fans

Looks like Pau is injecting baby stems cell juice like Kobe, except that the fetal cells inside him now justify what's between his legs, or the lack of in this case.
http://www.latimes.com/sports/laker...gasol-knee-procedure-20130509,0,7062767.story The Lakers announced that power forward Pau Gasol received a successful "FAST technique" procedure on both knees Thursday morning. The procedure, whose name stands for Focused Aspiration of Scar Tissue, was performed by Dr. Steve Yoon of the Kerlan-Jobe Orthopaedic Clinic. It involved inserting a probe into Gasol's knees that directed ultrasound waves to remove degenerated tissue in his patellar tendons nonsurgically, the team said. The 12-year veteran will also "receive autologous stem cell injections" next week to help stimulate the regeneration of tissue in his knees. While he's expected to make a full recovery, Gasol won't return to basketball-related activities for approximately 12 weeks. Gasol struggled early in the year with knee pain, missing eight games in early December. He later missed five games in March with a concussion as well as 20 others in February and March with a foot injury. Gasol acknowledged throughout the season that he struggled with aching knees. Through 49 regular-season games, Gasol averaged 13.7 points, 8.6 rebounds and 4.1 assists. Those numbers climbed slightly in the playoffs to 14.0, 11.5 and 6.5, respectively. Gasol is under contract for one more season at $19.3 million.
they do have a "recent tradition" of chuckers so Melo would just learn off the poster boy for checkers himself...
