I'm one of the few people who didn't criticize Lin for the Playoff performance. I actually took up for him for playing hurt. Just another example of LOFs only seeing what they want to see.

Then your observation skills are extremely poor. I don't hate Lin. I've said over and over I think he's a great story and a good kid. Do I want him as the starting PG of my team, no, but that is from a basketball perspective. I've also said I think he'll make a good 6th man.

I hate the vast majority of his fans.

I do enjoy life. I don't see how my opinion of Lin as a basketball player or dislike of his fan base has anything to do with that. The two don't correlate whatsoever. Again, i'll point out that I'm not the person who joined a forum to follow and worship a professional athlete. I'm also not someone with over 1500 posts on a message board in less then a year. Many LOFs have even more then that. You guys never leave the internet.

Fan base are all the same, what actually matter is the size of fan base.

Nobody complains d-mo's fan base, because they are unlikely to make much noise.

A large fan base makes host feel intruded.

Whatever Knickskiller and Jetfuel say about you tallies with my observations on your posts about Lin. You're pretty irrational when it comes to him.

Hating the vast majority of his fans is not an excuse. But then the vast majority of his fans (or "fans") think you're illogical, so your observations of Lin / "hatred" of his fans is understandable ;)

Feel free to donate and become a contributing member to gain access to said tools. Donating aside, I fail to see how the search tools will help you locate all of King1's Jeremy Lin posts from 2004-2012 which would be required to satisfy the statement of the previous poster.

    He clearly hates King1.

You're certainly entitled you your opinion but most others (outside of his fan base) don't echo the same sentiments.

I dislike his fans because they are a real detriment to this board. Most people who have been around for a while will tell you they're by far the worst we've ever encountered. Other boards feel the same way about his fan base (a few Lin fans have acknowledged that here). Honestly, I couldn't care less what they think about me.

if they are behaving like idiots, it doesn't help to counter them by posting even more hateful stuff.

I've said 100 times I don't hate Jeremy Lin. There's nothing about him to hate. Just because I would prefer a different starting PG for the Rockets doesn't mean I personally dislike the guy. I give LOFs grief because indirectly (or directly in some cases) they do the same.
I'm not looking to change your mind. My opinion is meaningless like everyone else here. We're just fans talking on the internet.

Classic is a different user then me.

While true, how come none of Lin's fan base hold their own accountable for their comments? Honest question. I understand I frustrate his fan base and that's fine (I never report posts directed at me as I can take what I dish out) but i'm curious to hear the rationale

if you READ some of my post history , I have called out ridiculous post made by fans/trolls. But nobody cares, they just go full on this lin supporter lynching mob. and folks like me get dragged into it also to the point were we have to bare even more ridiculous comments on Lin's contribution to the team.

    p.s.
Heck I even agreed with a couple of King1 post. can't you remember?

Lin's not garbage, he's not so great either. So...what are we arguing about?

I wasn't directing it to you in particular. It was a general statement that typically rings true. Hey, I've been called a racist by LOFs when I have never made a single even remotely racist comment on this board. Simply because I criticize Lin as a basketball player. It's not fair, but it is what it is.

I have also agreed with some of yours. Honestly, you're not one of the Lin fans I have a problem with. We give each other stuff sometimes but I've never taken it personal nor should you. Just friendly trash talk

Perhaps because people don't have time or desire to get in a flame war with people who are being delusional? I like Lin, I thought McHale held him on too short of a leash in a year where we wanted to develop players, and I think given an offseason of work on his game instead of work on his knee he will come back much better. But you read how he's being sabotaged on purpose by the coaching staff, or is already a top 10 pg, or... what's the point in responding to someone like that? They aren't just off in their assessment, they are on another planet.

Then you read something like this. The guy was injured. How can there possibly be only a few who weren't criticizing him? "It was just a bruise, he played like crap..."

    Bleh.

The problem is fans on both side going into extreme, either Lin is trash or Lin is the second coming.

Can we just agreed that Lin is an average to slightly above average NBA starting pg at this point considering last season was his first full season as starting pg.
Will he improve? should be, given his work ethic.

Now, with all the big name PF are off the board, Lin will stay. And we have one more season to look at before render any judgement.

My Ignore list had grown to over 300 users (seriously) by the end of last season. I cleared that all out for the summer, to get a fresh start, and I've been trying to avoid adding any names to it until the season gets started back up.

But, no surprise, King1 was the first one back on the list. He is one of the bitter old-timers on the board, full of hate and living just to stir crap up, insult people and get them arguing. Even over the summer when I"m hungry for any Rockets news/discussion I can find I don't have time for his nastiness.
