Apologies for offending your perceptions, but Miller's current professional abilities are germane. There are a number of posters who do not share your vast basketball acuity but rather only see what a player once was, hence, all the fascination for players like Camby, Garnett, etc. All they want is 15 minutes of the former player named Mike Miller rather than the reality of the current Mike Miller. My uncertainty focuses on the latter.

I don't agree, i see him as a solid backup on any team in the nba. He's got size, he rebounds, finishes well, is efficient and also is young and has potential. What team wouldn't want that?

6 points on 62% and 4.6 rebounds in 16 mins are solid numbers for a back up big, especially for a 22 year old 2nd year undrafted player (who only played 8 games his first season).

I'm not saying he's ever gonna be a allstar, but i don't thinks its overrating him to say he shouldn't be cut.

Miller is also a very good playmaker.

Miller was a great playmaker in Orlando and Memphis. He has good awarness/court vision and is a above average passer. He isn't just a shooter. He has other skills.

You don't lose you're court vision and passing. you become slower, but the playmaking skills don't go away.

He had skills, he's a shooter now. Thats all he does, and he does it extremely well. He has no quicks anymore to make plays. He's a bad defender.

I would like him, but i know what to expect, shooting nothing more.

There's a reason why only contenders are after him.

We already have play makers and superstars on this team. If he does make a play of two more power to him but all well really need him to do it knock down the open 3.

In reality all the pretenders and non-contenders don't stand a chance on signing him.

He's going to get paid regardless of who he play's for by Miami's pay roll. I think he
knows he might have 1-2yrs left before he retires and wants to try to latch on to a
contender for another shot at a ring.

As far as why are the contenders going after him? Well for the same reason the Rockets
want him, he's a great 3pt shooter and would be a great asset IF he remains healthy.
My mind tells me to pass but my heart tells me he would look good in Rocket Red....

I'm a fan of MM and we could always use a consistent 3 point threat. He hit a lot of big shots in the Finals.

It's sad, because the only reason I want him is so teams like OKC and the spurs don't have him come playoffs
