How have I been doing that? I have repeatedly said I hope that Lin improves and helps the rockets, but acknowledge that his poor shooting and disappearing act continuing wont work out with the rockets.

That's just Sam being Sam. He was born with a stick up his arse. Every once and a while someone pushes on it.

I see. That's where we disagree then, because I do think there is still some upside. As far as I'm concerned, there is upside with basically all of our minimum signings in the sense that they're in a new situation and expectations are low. Maybe I'm just too optimistic, but I like that we're taking chances on guys who might be undervalued by the market. While a min contract suggests a high likelihood that they won't pan out, it doesn't mean there's not any potential left. Brooks showed great flashes and it's understandable that people hope to see it again. It's a very poor man's Lin situation.

Brooks wouldn't even fit on this team in his prime.

Negative defender, useless off the ball and lacks the vision of a true starting point guard.

Even Lin being only the secondary ball and at times third ball handler on the team averaged more. Bev could have done the same if his minutes were increased.

Honestly don't get the hype on here. He's been pretty poor for 3 seasons in a row now what makes you think this year will be any different?

Before his fanboys bring up his 20 PPG average and THAT Lakers game. We've had Brooks, Kyle, Dragic and Lin playing guard for us since then and have hardly missed a beat. Ever thought it could be our PG friendly system that made him look better than he actually was?

I'm fine with him here on the minimum but the posters expecting some sort of revival or him beating Bev/Lin for the starting position are incredibly deluded.

The fact that redhotrox beat J.R. to the news on this must mean the news bot doesn't follow Aaron Brooks. That's probably a good indication that Brooks is a scrub.

I just don't like personal attack. That's why I come to this board instead of Yahoo forum. Although I don't agree Sam'comments on Brooks (I thought it's a good signing considering this team's needs and the contract he signed), I don't think he deserves the personal attack you launched against him.

In the case of Garcia, I would say some may expect him to be a Durant stopper on defense.

The guy is insurance. He's not going to freakin start or even get any minutes as long as Lin and Beverley are on the roster and healthy, I can guarantee that. So any brooks fan boys/haters should tone it down.

happens to certain players on the team. and btw Jeremy LIN sucks

I didnt see the "beat around the bush" thread. Vague title.

Even still, there are not many DEDICATED Lin threads in the first SIX pages of the GARM. Its a bunch of stuff about Chandler Parsons "chasing the fame" and all that

    Lin threads:
Jeremy Lin: It's "huge" getting Dwight Howard
What is Lin's top priority next year?
    Get Ready Jeremy
I hate to beat around the bush
    On Jeremy Lin ...

Thats a 5 threads out of 180 threads. Less than 1 a day. While there's the same amount about Terrence Jones and Parsons.

This one is about point guards in general. Its basically references how point guard talk has been around for a while.
Who Should Start at PG: Rafer or AB?

There's plenty 1 star threads that have nothing to do with Lin. Dumb threads can come up for anything (Like how James Harden is selfish and not giving anyone else any credit?) I don't see the Linsanity near how it was during the season. Yes Lin still comes up too much in any thread not even about Lin, so he's discussed too much. But technically he's not getting as much individual threads (cuz people are tired of talking about him)

He had 209 threes and 434 assist in 2010-2011 and led the Rockets to a 42 win season. He was the best player on a team that had 3 less wins than we won this year. He can ball out and he can shoot the ball when he plays with confidence. He is a good player, and if he adjust in to a catch and shoot role player, who can be a playmaker he could be very valuable on this team.

He could model a Nate Robinson of the Bulls last year and just play with that kind of swagger and really change to dynamic of the game with his talent.

You got the wrong year. 2009-10. Also, he was not even the best PG on the team in 2009-10, let alone the best player. Kyle Lowry was the best PG of the team. Lowry, Scola, Hayes and Landry were all either clearly or arguably better players than Brooks and more important to the team.

Lowry wasn't the best PG then, his shot was abysmal to the point where people would just leave him open. Lowry became a really good shooter later which is why Lowry > Brooks. Stop misrepresenting the situation, and I like how you inserted your opinion and proceeded to provide zero evidence to that claim.
But before you continue I'll just say it for you ASSPAT>>>>>>>Brookslowryscolahardenyaodwightcombined.

Disagree even before Lowry developed his shot he was a more impact full overall player than brooks. Brooks was quick and could knock down 3s but Lowry facilitated, got to the rim and played D at a whole different level.

I don't see the same mismatch with Blake or Fisher if Lowry started. Anyways this is going into the past over something I would hate to bring up again and argue meaninglessly about. I have so far and think its time to stop, so I'll be exiting this argument.

Anyone who says Jeremy Lin definitively sucks is a basketball idiot and is not qualified to judge anyone else's hypothesis amateur or otherwise.

Yeah my mistake it was 2009-2010, and yes Lowry, Scola, Hayes and Landry were all valuable that season, AB was the most valuable if my memory serves me correct.

All I was trying to say is he needs to play with some swagger and confidence, if he does that he can be a valuable player on this current team.

the last part is a sacastic comment. but thanks for adding your comments to my reply. I got a good laugh out of it. I know you're a good poster on here so I got a good laugh out of it for sure. furthermore I laugh at all the people on here that are overly sensitive to Jeremy Lin comments or any other player. if someone has an opinion of A player that does not agree with yours, then all **** breaks loose. I find it entertaining to read all the posts to argue that point. and by "yours" I don't mean you in general. I mean the other people. but still ha ha
