Pretty funny. Nice meta commentary about how people are tired of him taking so long to reveal how he met his mother.
Anyone watch the newest episode "How Your Mother Met Me"? I think it was a fantastic episode and tied up a lot of loose ends. The last scene: <iframe width="560" height="315" src="//www.youtube.com/embed/X3OiWyhgU9U" frameborder="0" allowfullscreen></iframe> I'm not afraid to admit, I teared up a bit here and the mother's back story in general. My sister lost her boyfriend when they were both 22 to cancer, and this episode reminded me of all the pain she went through.
This season has been outstanding, I think. Framing the season around Barney & Robin's wedding weekend has worked out great. And yes I teared up, but I'm like Harry and Lloyd watching the PacBell commercial most times, except I don't use money to wipe my tears.
The mother's mannerisms and comedic timing fits so well into the show. It's like she's been part of the cast for 8 years.
they're going out with a bang! As a fan, I thought it should have ended 2 seasons ago but it has been fantastic.
this season has been up and down. There have been some of the worst filler episodes but the episodes where stuff actually happens has been pretty good. Not funny anymore but now it's all about what happens.
I must be in the minority here... I think this season has been absolutely horrid (as have the last few seasons). Only this past Monday's episode was enjoyable for me in the last few years b/c of the tie-ins. I'm just watching this dying dog of a show to the end b/c ... well i guess b/c i've already put in so many years watching it that it would feel odd to stop now. My wife stopped after the first episode of this season. I wish I could have done that. What really annoys me is that this very pure girl, who has been mourning the death of a boyfriend throughout her 20s while her fine ass roommates have been having fun, ends up with a douchenozzle like Ted who has been sleeping his way through Manhattan looking for "the one" and just throwing his douchejuice all over the city complaining about all the hotties he has hooked up with over 10 years. She really deserves better than him.
This season has mostly sucked. This last episode is one I actually liked. Of course, I think this whole season should have focused on the mother more. Ted is a very good guy. He got left on his wedding day. He's currently at a wedding where someone he is in love with is going to marry one of his best friends, when it was a fear of marriage that led her to break up with him in the first place.
Odds are I'm the only one still keeping up with this show LOL... BUT... Spoiler It looks like the mother is dead in the end, or at least it looked like it was strongly hinted. For some reason this never crossed my mind as a possibility, but now thinking about it, it seems rather obvious. Only 4 episodes left...
You are not alone, show went to **** for awhile but now I am back into... Spoiler Seems very likely that the mother is dead but I hope not, I hope the writers are just trying **** with the dead mother theory people...We have waited a long long time to see the mother and finding out she is dead will be pretty underwhelming but I could see why the show would do it...
Spoiler There's a 50/50 chance the mother is dead. I hope it happens though, screw it. Who cares about the happily ever after ending, i want some legit drama
Honestly, this show is just flaming out. If your theory is correct that just makes it even worse. At one point I might have put it in the same category as Modern Family, but now they aren't even in the same league. Phil>>>>>>Ted #MOFY4Life
So I just discovered this show and starting watching it on Netflix. So far I’m on season 4 and I think it’s good. The part I find odd is that old Ted sits his children down and start telling them the story of how he met their mother but it just sounds like how many girls he had sex with before he met their mother include their aunt Robin.
