Yea that's closer to our background. I put a link to the premiere episode below if anyone wants to see it. Intro narrated by Jen Taylor. http://roosterteeth.com/archive/?id=7872
Okay so I gave in and am doing the 30 day free trial at crunchy roll... I watched Free! on my big screen... Yay for my Samsung bluray... But it doesn't seem like the have a lot of old stuff they mostly have new shows... Any must see shows on there that I should watch? I love that there are no commercials!! That's the way pay streaming should work
Nope, not much old stuff. I just now finished Say I love you on there and it's a pretty good romance, slice of life, shoujo anime. Kind of reminds me of My Little Monster (I recommend this too), which makes sense since it's the same creator. Also recommend: Watamote: it's not my fault that I'm not popular The world god only knows My teen romantic comedy SNAFU Hulu Plus would be fantastic as well because of their great selection, but having ads WHILE paying for it really turned me off.
Started watamote and already watched my little monster I added the other three to my queue. Thanks! I also hate the ads on Hulu plus but I'm dealing with it at the moment. I may have to give it up once I watch all the things I want on it
I, too, just started using crunchyroll and been marathoning these shows the past week: Sword Arts Online Expect to feel your own feels through this one; had some really heart-broken episodes. It's a short Anime, but still competes on my top list. The World God Only Knows I love this anime, nothing else can be said.
I don't understand why Hulu even does that. A couple years ago, they used to not even have ads on their videos. Ahwell, guess I'll just have to be a pirater for life.
Started this one today... It's very good. Let me explain something to you... I can see the ending! lol living the characters so far. Is this based on a manga?
Yes, and the anime skips some stuff by the third season, so if you haven't read the manga you'll start season 3 wondering where these new characters came from. There is also 1or 2 ova that is pretty important that falls between season 2 and 3 that should be watched, but is not on Crunchyroll. What do you think of watamote so far?
I like it, but it's sort of painful to watch her struggling so much. I don't know how much of it I will be able to take. Lol I liked the last episode with her friend from grade school. It was nice to see her a little more normal. So I guess I better add the manga to my list for TWGOK... I am only at the introduction to kanon so I'm not very far.
lol, I there would still be a possibility that she could be a game chick...........just without all of her suicidal thoughts.......... Btw, what kind of dating sim game was she playing? lol, the faster you make him orgasm, the more points you get lmao.
Ok so I just started watching anime and so far I have watch death note, code geass, angel beats, and currently watching clannad. I'm trying to watch all kind of shows to see what I like most. I've read the thread and I've gotten some ideas, but can you guys recommend anything that's like death note and code geass? I really like the strategic and dark/thriller type animes.
High school of the dead, maybe? that's one that is sort of a thriller type.. Survivalist with a lot of character development I haven't watched either of those two you mentioned yet so I'm guessing that hsotd is along the same lines... Though its got some of the same feel as angel beats too
I could see both of them trying to conquer one another. Higurashi when they cry - mystery/thriller Spoiler Keiichi learns that every year for the past four years, one person has been murdered and another has gone missing on the day of the Watanagashi Festival. Keiichi himself soon becomes drawn into the strange events surrounding the Watanagashi Festival and Oyashiro Cowboy bebop - Crime/Sci fi Noir Gurren Lagann - Mecha anime that way up there with code geass for best mecha anime. Thought you might enjoy this as well. I love them both. These have about the same genres as CG or DN, but they're nothing like them so I wouldn't hold them to the same expectations.
Pretty interesting. Really good choreography. I don't mind the animation style, but since it's in that vein, I actually wish it was a little more pronounced or over the top, if that makes sense. Will continue to watch.
Fullmetal Alchemist (original), chances are you've probably already seen it since its like one of the top animes of all time. Kenshin/Samurai X is pretty dark also.
