Why do these threads never mention Greg Smith? It's like he dropped off the face of the planet. Now with Asik and potentially Camby anchoring the C position, he'll be seeing all of his minutes at the 4.

Also while I don't think he'll be starting, I expect a lot of exploration with Parsons or another shooting SF at the PF position. Small ball 4-shooter lineups are a common exercise in today's rock-scissors-paper basketball theory.

Then you either weren't watching or didn't know what to watch for. Either way, it's not a problem, perhaps you'll see it this time around.

Well because that would be pretty terrible because Greg Smith is not good at anything other than picking up fouls. Playing Greg Smith at the 4 is like a poor man's version of playing Asik and Howard together.

he did a lot of post up plays. the problem is you have harden, howard, parsons, and lin getting the ball in their hands before dmo or jones.

he's not going to be able to show what he can do unless it's from the bench. jones can get offensive put backs from rebounding. that doesn't require taking the ball out of the other starters hands.

Oh yeah there was a reason I was like you high on Donatas at the same time last year. Now I am not... or at least not that optimistic any longer.

Believe me. I got to watch.
He got pushed around.... Shot 29% from three and 2.1 rebounds per game...
I don't need to say more, do I? But yeah it can only get better.

DMo have bulked up. I feel DMo will likely start due to his game somewhat resemble McHale of old.

I would be careful with the comparisons. McHale was Top 3 Post Move specialist of All Time. Ask Dwert Howand!

D-mo is Ryan Anderson with better post moves. Not bad, not bad at all.

Never meant to imply that DMo skill set is anywhere close to McHale. I gave DMo slight edge because I think McHale like the style DMo play which is closer to his style more than TJ.

Dmo's offensive abilities is NOT that much better than T.Jones. If it was dude wouldnt have lost that starting spot when he had it.

Dmo is very good in the post, he was never known to be good 3pts shooter even in europe. While Rockets pretty much put him in corner and made him shoot 3's all day.

I'd like D-Mo to come off the bench, because with current lineup starting PF would average only 1 shot in 30 minutes. DMO would be much more useful playing bench guys rather than doing dirty work next to dwight.

DMO is better than Jones which is why DMO will be the guy who will end games. Being in the starting 5 will be bad for both of them.

Dmo's skillset is made somewhat redundant with dwight now on the squad. Tjones at this point is the superior defender, rebounder and scorer so we'll likely be seeing him with most of the minutes at the 4.

If I was a DOF I would rightly be furious about this. DMO will never thrive as a spot up 3 point shooter.

What did Dmo do that proves/shows he is better than Jones?

D Mo plays awful defense, shoots (and misses) way too many threes, and rebounds at a horrible rate. T Jones could turn into an above average defender that could pop a jumper every once in a while.

With Howard, Harden, Parsons, and Lin I think we need more defense, so Jones.
