He's 76th and 83rd on that list out of 83. I don't think Lin's a "scrub" but he's not a star. He's a slightly below average to slightly above average player. Most of these anti-Lin comments are just from people trying to get a reaction from LOF's. It's working.
Actually Bev has proven he's a better playoff player than Lin... That can't be disputed. And pointing out certain things is one thing but LOFs take it to the extreme. Just look at the threads. A lot of LOFs bash Harden like he's a scrub. That's why you see responses like "Lin Sucks" because they know LOFs have an emotional attachment to the player and don't give a damn about the team. Most of us are not Knicks fans and can care less about what he did in NYC. He's going to have to earn his respect around here just like Yao did and just like Harden had to do.
For your information, before the infestation of LOFs such as yourself, RedRedemption was one of the biggest Lin fans around. In fact, even during Lin's NYK days, you would find thousands of supportive threads and posts when it came to Lin. Strange how, once his legion of fans came over, people seemed to be far less enthusiastic when it came to Lin. I guess classical conditioning comes into play here. You joined this board when Lin came over, you can lie about how you have been a fan since the 1500s or something and only joined recently. So the truth is this board has been extremely supportive of Lin until his polarizing fans came over and tilted the scale.
Why is it so hard to get even the simple fact straight. Line was underperforming. Everyone was bad in the first game. Bev has proven he's a better playoff player than a Lin with a bone bruise. I thought everyone knows that bone bruise is NOT a bruise but a minor fracture. The reason LOF comes to the defense of Lin is exactly because people do not seem to be able to get the fact straight. I also agree that there are 'LOF's who distort the facts. You do not hold yourself to a lesser standard even others are doing so. So do not say: I bash Lin because others are lying. It's a 7-year old's excuse. There are people who commit insane crime in the world. Does that mean everyone could do the same?
Good LORD OP you didn't even use the correct idiom.... And this may literally be the most unnecessary / redundant thread of all time. Worthy of posting privileges revoked.
Hilarious so people want to bash Lin because of his fans, yeah right. The only thing any Lin fan has ever said is that the kid has potential, let the kid play and not just hide him in the corner or on the bench. Everything else spewed by the other side from LOH such as yourself is pure hatred that I have never seen for any athlete who didn't allegedly kill someone. It wouldn't matter if I was a fan of Lin or not, when you see a bunch of rabid dogs cornering a defenseless prey, it's natural to feel some sympathy... The Lin bashing is not justified regardless of what you are conjuring up in your heads about his fandom... Like JVG said Lin is underrated right now. As for me, since you want to point your little finger in my nose, I'm not a Knicks fan, I've been a life long Celtics fan, Mchale was one of my all time favorite players, so was Hakeem, and to be honest although I write mostly about Lin I am far more interested personally in DMo's development as I am passionate about low post play.
I was responding to the post that Lin should not make more than 4 million. And we know Beverly started with Lin together when we went small in the second game, and then Lin got hurt. Are we saying we should decide the starting PG's salary based on that of a back up PG who started when their regular starting PG is injured or when the coach decides to go with 3 guards? Or maybe we are saying every SF who made more than Parsons should get out of their team?
