I know this isn't what you're necessarily saying, but what annoys me the most is the fact that some people seem to think because LOFs are annoying and crying racism that somehow everyone else is now given free reign to be offensive, immature and racist themselves. That's a pretty weak excuse. While it explains their responses, it certainly doesn't sanction it.

What's generally sadder is that Yao Ming is of course a stand up guy. People love him on clutchfans! Rockets fans in general love him, and that's great -- he's one of my favorite players as well. Well deserved for a guy who worked hard and was a consummate professional. But the part that irks me is...so is Lin. Lin seems nice, works hard and is professional. He seems like a good guy, and most posters (even LOHs) admit this and use it as some sort of disclaimer. It's just a bit sad that two people can both be good guys and yield completely different results (as far as fan reactions go) simply because certain groups of people take things to the extreme (looking at both LOFs and LOHs).

Lin hasn't proven himself. Beverly has played and been more effective in bigger games, here and in Europe.

The difference is that Yao was the top player at his position and worth every penny. Lin is not, at least right now. But I'm sure many people will change their tune if he can improve like he did in the second half of the season last year.

Yao was an All-Star, one of the best centers in the game and a great ambassador for Houston. Lin is at best an average PG with a delusional fan base. He is definitely a good guy and a hard worker but he doesn't belong in the same sentence as Yao.

You guys really think Asians go around calling themselves "BongDong" on the internet? How stupid are you? Those two words mean nothing. In fact, Asians are more likely to use "BongDong" to make fun of r****ded Americans than they are to consider that a good username.

Dude is a troll, and a pretty bad attempt at it.
