Why is this board think Lin is not as good as Beverly. And why is lin so Look down upon. For a First year, erase the ny linsanity, he had a great season for a rookie. Lets look forward for Jeremy Lin to develop into a great pick roll player with DH12 and his #'s increase. Thanks
Come on, man. Did this really need its own thread? Could this really have not gone in one of the other numerous Lin threads we have ?
1. He wasn't a rookie last season, period. 2. He is getting paid 8 million dollars a year. 3. I still am hoping Lin proves he is worth 8 million dollars; I agree that he has more upside than Beverly but that isn't saying much.
Another Lin thread. Mod like poster like you, increase view count=increase ad=increase $. You brought up a good point thou.....if you treat Lin as a rook, his numbers are solid.
Overpaid.. Trade chip as a marketing dump tied to Ask and a 2014 1st round for LMA. oh turn over prone. If he was making 4 million then cool.
#1 Lin was not a rookie. #2 Lin did not have a great year, but a solid year. #3 Lin was terrible in the playoffs. #4 Beverly was better than Lin for stretches. #5 Most the criticism of Lin is based on his contract. #6 Most of the hatred for Lin is because this board was spammed by Lin only fans for 6 months. Lin is and will be the starting point guard. His defense was good enough, his 3 point shot really improved and he carried the offensive scoring load enough to deserve to start. Having said that, Beverly was a rookie, shot the 3 well and defensively was very good. However Beverly had difficulty running the offense and is prone to fouling. It will take a major leap by Beverly of regression by Lin for Beverly to start.
Hey Bong Dong, thanks for posting. To answer your question, no one thinks Beverley is better than Lin. They think he is a better fit at a cheaper cost. Because of this belief, Lins fans get offended and cry racism, hatred, etc. This annoys posters and they start purposely posting derogatory things about Jeremy to irritate his fans. You might check out Yao Ming Mania which has a Jeremy Lin dedicated forum. The posters there will be a less hostile.
