Beautiful....yet another poorly thought-out, thinly veiled attempt to prop up Lin and discredit anyone who might possibly take the ball out of his hands.

Remember when Stromile Swift tried to play Hero Ball in the post? My damn, I have never seen a man turn the ball over so many times and look like Nancy Kerrigan in the process. All of those spins, travels, missed dunks and clueless looks were priceless.

That signing was a dud. I even had a jersey because I thought he was going to be special.

The only thing special about Stro was the gap in his teeth, which was actually just God's way of saying there was a gap in his game. :p or in Stro's case:

Harden with the rock puts as much or more pressure on the defense than anyone not named LBJ. Down by 1 with 15 seconds left is there anyone else on the team, including Howard, that you would want handling the basketball? Thought not.

Besides Harden and Howard: Chandler Parsons.

And, he has shown the ability to make big shots off the dribble or spotting up.

    Just sayin'...

James is the first option but Chandler can create his own shot if necessary.

Durant puts more pressure on the defense than Harden. But ok.

I think you were talking about 2011-2012 season. Guess who had the highest efficiency in isolation in NBA that year?

Edit: Rep for first one who gets it correct!

Chandler hits big shots off the dribble? No, I'm afraid not. He cannot consistently create his own shot... that is right now the weakest part of his game... he is a far better catch and shoot guy.

Rudy's use of the ISO with the Franchise and the Cat increased our odds of drafting Yao and netted in one of the bottom five teams in Rockets' history (tied for 4th worst in terms of wins percentage).

    LOL.....are you for real?

All the players you mentioned, and all the rings they won, they did not win anything until they have a good team around them. I am not saying iso should not be an option, but it should only be a light dose to mix with regular offensive sets.

Now, you start thinking ( it might hurt a little bit ), if your stats tell you ios is so productive, and your theory is right....why don't you just run iso every single play and do it for all 48 mins?

McHale have all the stats you have, he still doesn't like the ball being 'sticky', I take McHale's opinion over your stats.

I also bet you dollars against a steak every team hire those people. Statisticians are a dim a dozen, every GM has all the stats up to their neck. If you make decisions base on stats, you are only average at best. Your team will be no better than most. I am not saying stats are completely useless. But more often than not, stats are for losers who afraid to make a tough decision, and to find excuses for their mistakes.

BTW, stats are great for fantasy sports!!

He keeps saying that but the ball still stick in Harden's hand at the time.

Whenever it wasn't sticky, team did much better.
