Ran across this today, and found it pretty interesting. The Iron Throne as G.R.R.M. envisioned it. http://grrm.livejournal.com/327569.html
^ This visual makes more sense with how GRRM describes how it can cut those who are unworthy of the throne. But it would be hard to imagine a hobbled Eddard being able to climb it when he was Hand.
Interesting, don't know if this is something people knew but it has to do with Ros from the past season. The reason she was killed was because she refused to do future nude scenes.
Huh. I remember the report about an actress on GOT refusing to do any more nude scenes, and everyone speculated at the time that it was Emilia Clarke.
Yeah, it was referring to Ros. She apparently said that she didn't want to be known for her...ahem..."t***." So they killed the character off. What good is a prostitute on a show with nudity if she doesn't want to show nudity?
Hers were pretty amazing too. But I don't think she was in danger of being upstage by them. Her character was interesting all around.
Yeah she was actually becoming a rather interesting character. It kind of makes sense though looking back because her death sort of came out of nowhere. Not that it needed build really, but there wasn't even any suspicion or anything from Littlefinger. Just all of a sudden at the end of an episode she's dead.
Quick question for those who have both read the books and watched the show. I haven't watched the show but I'm halfway through A Clash of Kings. How far into the books does season 3 go? I assume if I finish a Storm of Swords I'll be good to go and watch it all, just wanted to check.
I, too, thought it was Emilia Clarke who was refusing future google-search GoT scenes. I was starting to like Ros' character even more, but becoming a sympathetic character will get you killed on that show quicker than playing in traffic on I-10. And I will also miss her nude scenes, I admit it. Just a hot, hot lady. But there's always Blu-Ray re-watches of Seasons 1 and 2 (although her scenes did often fall into the, "Okay, a little too much sexposition" realm).
So I just watched all 3 seasons in the past 2 weeks. Great show. Like others have said in this thread the finale of season 3 was a little disappointing just from an anticipation standpoint. Can't wait for season 4 to get here.

I was afraid of this. How many more great scenes don't make it into the final product because the producers are hamstrung with 53-minute----er, 1 hour----episodes?
