Did you even read the transcript? This sounds like you just typed whatever you heard on some too far right podcast.
Initially when I heard the comments on the radio "35 years ago I could've been Trayvon" I didn't think it was a good idea for him to give the speech but it is really a very measured speech. As much as it tries to explain African American anger regarding this issue also calls for calm and even defends the FL court and jurors. A big part of why Obama gave this speech I think is to get ahead of this issue rather than allow protests and developments define it.
the NSA? nah no big deal. What's really important is a sensationalized media circus feeding on people's fears, racism and hate for ratings. That's the honey pot of distraction. Make a speech about NSA surveillance on all US citizens and our crumbling freedoms via the Patriot Act and I might give two ****s Mr. President.
I thought about your cause when obama talked about being profiled. he should have told his profilers he was mixxed
Obama likely did what he was supposed to do. He ignored those people, moved on with his own priorities in life and bettered his own situation.
his zionist bosses made him give this speech, they want blacks to riot obama has done nothing for blacks throughout his entire presidency
Im just glad you accept his stiry qs truth. piece of advice the case is over stip trying to introduce it in every conversation
My response to texxx was specific to something he has harped on since obama was a senator that obama is avfraud black cause of his background.
Agreed. But when Obama said this ... .... he missed an opportunity to talk about the elephant in the room. African American children, and boys in particular, will continue to be at a disadvantage so long as 72% (approx.) of them are born out of wedlock and/or don't have fathers in their lives. Obama has been a great example in this respect, in contrast to his own father, yet he rarely if ever discusses it.
Obama has given speeches and several statements about the NSA. You might not like his responses but it's not like he hasn't paid any attention to that issue. The Zimmerman verdict is still sparking protests almost a week after the verdict so it isn't like this was a manufactured issue.
Piece of advice. If the case is over tell that to the protestors and the people crying over spilled milk. Thanks in advance.
So now being afraid of a rapist is stalking you means you are homophobic? LOL. Where do you come up with this crap?
Good speech. People thinking he's inciting blacks have got a problem. I'd say, if anything, the speech helps quell discord over the verdict. Those who feel justice was denied can be encouraged to know that the President sympathizes with them and is thinking about how we might make the country better in this regard. No need to riot in the street in blind frustration; we can handle this through the system. I think it brings the Martinites a little closer to the fold. Now, the folks who thinks it was a good thing that Zimmerman was packing heat so he could defend himself, they probably can add another complaint to the list of why they hate Obama, but they can take solace in the fact that the odds are stacked in their favor in the near- to medium-term if they ever shoot someone "in self-defense."
Assuming the guy was homosexual who was going to rape him just by looking at him makes him a homophobe. I got that from your star witness who said Trayvon don't be like that.
