SF plane crash victim was alive when she was hit, sources say

    This is a terrible story but I am not going to jump to conclusions and say that SFFD was at fault. We don't know exactly what condition she was in when she was struck, how she got to the location she was struck at and if she was visible at all to the driver.

    From the SF Gate article it sounds like she wasn't visible but had been buried under fire fighting foam when she was hit. Was she somewhere where she was visible when they first sprayed the foam? We don't know that either. It is possible she could've been covered by debris, badly burned or even on fire when the foam was sprayed. Given that the fire fighters were trying to prevent an explosion of the plane at the time that might've killed many more this situation might've been a tragic accident and not negligence on the fault of SFFD.

    They said she could have been thrown from the plane when it broke up. So she might have already been in bad shape before getting hit.

    Her body was covered in fire-fighting foam so how could the driver see her? **** happens...

    Just bc she was alive at the time doesn't mean she would have survived....there is no way she was laying there without insanely severe injuries. Very tragic and unfortunate, but let's not act like she was all good and that she had survived a plane crash...she was alive, but so was the guy that got taken to the hospital and died two weeks later.
