    yes

Have to be able to play with Harden and Now Howard. They are the team. If one can't then they must be traded or adapt and Lin has never shown he can adapt.

How true! I just look at a post back in 2003, err, 10 years ago about Yao.

Please notice that word 'Yao-only-fan haters.'

Are we seriously comparing Lin to White? A player who played all games in the season and a player....hummm....I mean not a player?

This is why I am a LOF "hater". Because I'm annoyed by people who prop up Lin by criticizing every other aspect of the team, I'm a racist. I don't think that label has only been reserved for LOFHs, either.

As if almost all LOF aren't haters:rolleyes:. They just hate Harden, or McHale, or the Rockets, or the Media, anyone besides Lin. And as if it was just a basketball thing to call for someone(McHale) to lose their job.

Royce was a distraction and made it a point to try to tarnish the franchise's image. Lin did not play well for most of the year, but still gave everything he could to the team. How is that even a reasonable comparison?

I did say almost all. That leaves room for LOF's who haven't done any of those things. It's not logically wrong to use a generalization when it's correctly identified. The other poster didn't use a generalization.

For example, if I said "People don't like Congress.", that would be incorrect, because 13% of people do approve of Congress. If I said "Most people don't like Congress", that would be correct.

There is nothing wrong with liking Jeremy Lin. That's what makes the NBA great--its superstars and personalities. Fans for example like Kevin Durant and sometimes even though they are not OKC fans. Fans (and even people who don't follow the NBA at all) admire Kobe Bryant. Is that wrong? It's good for the game to have its heroes and what Lin did in New York during Linsanity was definitely heroic. Houston fans should be happy and excited that they have a player on their team who attracts international admiration, and has been on the cover of SI twice!

For a Houston fan to on the other hand despise and all but wish failure upon one of its own players, to not root for him, or get upset when other fans get excited about him--there is something not right there. One calls to mind Jackie Robinson whose own fans rooted against him, set ultimatums in regards to him, and double standards, and just plain wanted him to go regardless of how he played. The Haters don't hate Jeremy Lin the basketball player; they hate Jeremy Lin the person, and all the basketball stuff is just a cover--that's pretty obvious. And that's where the problem lies.

This Royce White experiment , was particularly painful for me.
I watched his youtube mini Documentary which showed him being drafted into Rockets.
I was suckered into it, and thought hey I like this dude.

    the rest is history

What he has done, is not only a dis service to himself, but worst . To people with similar problem that he has.

Maybe you're the one who is confused about what the word "logic" means.

I am curious, what do you mean he did not play well for most of the year?
