Great news! Let's hope they get the colours right and will bring fans back because I remember that arena was on the greatest in the 90s. Their fans were always loud, cheering and they always had that buzz sound playing when things got tense; had some other crazy sounds as well so let's hope they bring it al back. Too bad the team is still in a bad condition and they probably have to roll out a 'Big 3' of Al, Kemba & MKG for marketing purposes.

Former players liking it as well, as you can see who the real OGs of the Hornets are:

Good attempt of trying to be relevant... but sadly MJ is still around.

Pretty much this. The Bobcats name became a joke in itself. Worse than the Clippers ever were.

I'm the one guy who isn't happy about it. The Hornets were great back then, but I think they should be going forward, not back.

So...does that mean we need to change our team name from the Rockets? We haven't won a championship in almost 20 years. I don't think your logic works here.

The hornets are bad ass. Although i wouldn't have minded a change to something like "Charlotte Flight" with maybe a jumpman style logo.

Great analogy. So are we going to change our name back to the rockets from the rockets?

All these teams with name changes, and logo changes, and we can't get new jerseys

Being a Bobcats fan would have to be harder than being an Astros fan, or a fan of any other franchise currently not thought much of. Worst run team in professional sports.

I think it's great. Justice prevails! Now if only NOLA could get their old moniker back. New Orleans Jazz... just sounds right.

You'd think that Michael Jordan out of anybody would want his own unique identity. Jordan posted on official site that poll results for name change were "mixed" (Meaning - you people do really want this, but do I GOTTA?

Though this can easily be spun as giving the city back the team that was yanked from them against their wishes. "Justice" like Deckard said

And it restores a bit of "NBA" legitimacy , instead of the junior varsity / expansiony feel of new names

New Orleans Jazz is exactly what this league should have fixed.

Minnesota Lakers is again the right fix.

Utah Timberwolves or Fu##faces suits them well.

Los Angeles Crackwhores, Transgenders or Narcissists really work well for that team.
