Not interested in being BIMA. More distortion. I am simply a basketball fan with a very good knowledge-base of the game and the NBA with some amount of connections to people in and around the league. All of this over telling you the facts and interpreting those facts for you about Brooks?
So what you're saying is Morey did all of this as part of the T-Rob trade to help the Kings save money without having to take on more guaranteed salary. It had nothing to do with them receiving a defensive backup PG who can knock down the three in Toney Douglas, and already having Isaiah Thomas and Jimmer Fredette or Aaron Brooks wanting out of that situation so bad to prove his worth and sign with a team before the playoff deadline. What about the fact that the Rockets have to rely on a rookie to play major minutes and run the offense if one of Beverly or Lin get injured?
This is a good signing. If Brooks has to play, I think he's a good fit next to Harden. I think if he has shooters and other good players around him, Brooks can be lethal at times.
Brooks may or may NOT have a future here, but we do know that this year, he adds major flexibility to the team and to Morey to trade away another PG. And I was right about Lowry all along. DD
None of your facts have nothing to do with Brooks being on the team. Fact - we now have 4 point guards on the roster which may be too many especially since Harden controls the ball. Fact - Morey likes to make trades. Fact - you are annoying.
I'm not pumping brooks, but there's no point making calls like he has no future.... Think before u make big calls..
No. What I have consistently said is Brooks buyout and subsequent signing here was part of helping Sac dump salary as an extension of the trade. Morey gave the dude $2.4 million to ride the pine. What other team would have signed Brooks for that amount of money to be a third string PG???????????? Morey agreed to make Brooks whole so Sacramento could generate the buyout. Just an extra that Morey threw at Sacramento to get the deal done for TRob.
I like this signing. AB's shooting alone is worth it, and a little injury insurance isn't a bad thing. I don't think this indicates a possible trade coming yet. Also, does me wanting to see what Lin can do with Dwight make me a LOF? I hope he isn't traded (if at all) until the deadline. I think having real low post threat will do wonders for him.
In terms of Defense now with the addition of Dwight and Asik on the Bench, does this mean we can afford to have the guards to be less additive and take risk the D?
This is not a big call Aus. It's a minuscule call. We're talking about the 4th point guard on a minimum contract....a veteran that we've already moved away from. We did not bring him back in March and pay him $2.4 million to be a key part of this team. We could have brought back Earl Boykins (and many others......Goudelock was playing his a.. off in RGV) for the minimum with that spot.
AFAIK, Cisco's were retained because it was an option and not a non guarantee (like brooks), with non guarantees, you hit the waiver wires (since waiving them is how you do that) and bird rights are lost.
Haha.....lin is like the opposite opposite of kobe...the dude is softer than charman toilet paper. Yes I honestly think aaron brooks is the better offensive player. ...at the very least they are=. They are equally garbage on defense. Lin might win you reddynasty fans but he wont win us a ring. Why not keep the cheaper guy who will play In playoff games?
Mmmmmm....yeah, that's it...insurance. $2.4 million insurance policy when Goudelock was flat out killing it in RGV and could have been had for the minimum. Yeah...insurance.
