I think I figured out why Brooks twitted "Hi" to Morey - so that Morey knows his twitter name and can tag/follow him. It's the same as phoning someone so that your number shows up on his call display.

    You're welcome ;)

Funny... as a woman, I'm amused by how catty you guys can be on here. ;)

I could see him winning playing time too. If the things I described above happen.

What I can see happening that a lot of people can't is I can see him getting cut..or traded...cut as early as training camp...and traded as early as December 15.

Morey already knows what Brooks is. If Brooks is here playing rotation minutes after the trade deadline it will be because we are in a desperate spot at the PG position. It will be because at least 2 of the 3 of the other guys have severely underperformed and/or are hurt and/or were traded away leaving us razor thin at the PG spot.

AB shouldn't be bashsed because of Lin, but because he wasn't very effective last year in the playoffs at his one nominal skill. 1-9 from beyond the arc? C'mon man....

    He has a trade veto.

But sure, I could see him getting cut.

So Cannan to the D-League then? Was hoping to see him this year. Guess we'll see plenty of him now just not against NBA talent.

I ain't even mad tho. AB played well in his time last year. Another scoring PG.

Better for the new kid to play as opposed to sitting on the bench and rotting. Good development.

Having veto power on a trade does not mean he cannot be traded.

It does make it less likely though. He's not going to get traded to a bad situation just to be salary filler.

In the end there can be only 15 players on the roster, D-league or not, so somebody must be waived. Then you can have only 13 players on the active list, so 2 must be in the D-league unless somebody gets injured and is inactivated. Who's going to get waived?

What is most likely is Brooks is not a Rocket after Feb 2014 trade deadline.

What is most likely is that you will continue to beat your chest and declare your opinions as indisputable facts.

Brooks can veto a trade. He's not going anywhere or he'll lose his bird rights.

He wont be traded because he'll say no.

(Brooks vs Lin) Always go with the one that is cheaper, better, .....and plays in playoffs!

I dont always have 2 cents (common sense) about Houston Rockets point grds...but when I do....I prefer Aaron Brooks! Stay mad Lin only fans!

    yeah

We do know we need someone that will be there when the playoffs roll around. Beverley can't do it all.

Hopefully this doesn't happen...will go from arguably the best backcourt combo in the league to the worst.
