People that are Lin haters have andifferent agenda, whether they are racist or whatever.

Lin played well last year since it was his first season as a starter and on top of that he has shown that he has all kinds of potential. A true Rocket fan would be happy about that and would be looking forward to seeing how much he will improve this year.

Epic thread. Hope this one will top "Jeremy is a joke."

Look forward to some good ol' entertainment from posters.

Some of the hate is just so scathing..internet anonymity displays the worst in people I swear. He's a young player who just had his first season starting playing alongside a ball dominant star player adjusting on the fly. He seems like a good, humble kid and hard worker. Is he overpaid? Yeah, but so are tons of other athletes in basketball and other sports. That's the way of the sports world. You get offered that contract, you sign it without hesitation. I don't think anyone reasonably expected him to play up to it besides the fanatics. You work hard on your craft and have an attitude to improve, you will get support from me if you're on the Rockets.

Stop it. Most of the replies were actually positive. I truly believe that we will all get along eventually or at least get tired of being cynical at some point.

Eh...I'm not sure about this one, but earlier I corrected a post someone made about the NBA being the most diverse league in the world by citing that it was mostly black and the total opposite of diverse. That post was removed pretty quickly despite its truthfulness whereas I've seen anti-asian posts hang around for days or not get deleted at all.

    Interesting.

Here at CF, then yes, live with it. But there are some fights worth fighting in the "real world".

"unconditionally" means without condition. The condition is that he is a Houston Rocket.

Lin will be eternally grateful to the Rockets for his dream fulfilled. Playing in the NBA with a real contract and as a starter.

The Rockets believed in him well enough to gamble on him. And they were not wrong in doing so because Lin really does bring a lot of good things to the table.

But he does not fit well with James Harden.

Lin needs to be the primary ballhandler - playmaker. He needs to be the one running the show, making the plays that eventually unravels the defense and involve everybody else.

He's playing out of his element alongside Harden. He does not really know how to play off the ball and oftentimes he kinda looks lost in the scheme of things.

I have a great appreciation for Linsanity and what he was able to accomplish in New York. Linsanity is probably the purest example of a guy stepping up and leading his team to win(s).

Joining the Rockets was and is a great opportunity for Jeremy but it's just a bad fit in the backcourt.

Harden needs to have a backcourt mate that can thrive off the ball as well and Lin is just not wired to play that way.

I love any and all Rockets, I think with Jlin people tend to go overboard with his skill level and contribuion to the team. I also think his avid supporters refuse to acknowledge that he is overpaid based on his contribution to the team.

Bottom line, I've been a Rockets fan since moving to Htown in 86". I have lived through Lucas, Kenny, Cassell, Matt Maloney, Brent Price, some no names, AB, Lowry, Dragic, Lin, Pbev, Cannan, etc... the list goes on.

So here is a wish for nothing but the best for Jlin in helping the ROCKETS WIN!!!
