I did my brother had a connect that sold him bootleg videos w/ subs so when America never got past frieza ark we got cell and buu.

Funny that a connect before the internet became real popular was needed to enjoy anime series.

Dragon Ball quite possibly worse dub ever.

Yep, the older the dub is the higher the likelihood that it's really, really bad. Anything before 2002 or so is already dicey. And anything before the mid-90s, forget about, it's guaranteed to suck.

IMO The World God Only Knows has the best opening compared to other anime.'

Pretty good, although I'm sure it would help if I had actually seen the show, then the images would mean more to me.

I posted a list of my favorite anime openings and endings a while ago (top 10 opening sequences and top 6 closing sequences), but unfortunately a lot of the videos have been taken down at this point due to copyright issues.

But I think I can say that Ghost in the Shell: 2nd Gig and Baccano! are tops for me for opening sequences (both excellent shows, btw). Videos are below.

Ghost in the Shell: 2nd Gig

lol it doesn't!! I said lovely and I meant melancholy of haruhi... I was rewatching episodes of lovely and had it on the brain ;) Sorry!! Mea Culpa

I just realized yesterday that Vic (Tamaki from Ouran) sings the song at the beginning of the english dub of one piece (at least in season one.. I'm still only on episode 20-something (they just met Sanji...)

at any rate, so far I haven't had any stinker dubs. Though I am still a rookie at anime... so I'm sure eventually I will find one. Mostly I have been watching the episodes in sub version first and then the dubs.. except on one piece, I went straight to the dubs in this one.. mainly cause there is just so freaking many of them I doubt I will ever watch it all the way through twice.

Fairy Tail I did watch the subs first and now I recently finished rewatching the dubs that I found available.

Edit: forgot to add... I am just now watching the second episode of watamote.. and I think that one of the guys that does the vocals on the opening song was on Uta no Prince Sama - he played Ichinose... the singing voice sounds the same.

Finally caught up and I must say it's been an awesome experience so far. Likeable characters, good story, and action.

Good character development. Hisoka is awesome, needs more kurapika's chains, and killua is badass.
Story Arcs get better and better, even though the chimera ant arc starts of kind of slow for me.
Gons ability needs a lot more refining. The 2 weaknesses I notice are setup speed - his saying takes up too much time Imo and that he has to be planted in order to do it. I really like him, but he was kind of annoying me the beginning of the chimera ant arc, because the monsters that shouldve taken him less than a minute to finish off without any damage looked like they gave him trouble.

Wow the Baccano! opening looks amazing! It's interesting to see how the scene transitions from character to character.

Here's the link to the show. http://www.crunchyroll.com/the-world-god-only-knows/videos This is the first romantic anime that I got into, and I've got to say, I'm impressed. I never expected this show to have such great story line. Also, from season 2 to season 3, the anime skips a lot of story in the manga, so I'd advise reading the manga also.

We are debuting an anime show on Friday. It's our first one and we are still a smaller studio but it is all produced in house.

I'm a big time Dragon ball Z fan. I saw these videos on youtube. Theyre probably, IMO, the best fan made DBZ videos i've ever seen. It shows everything that made DBZ awesome.

Nice, another TWGOK fan. Loving this season so far. This may end up being the best one. Can't wait for ep 3.

Just picked up watching this a couple days ago and I can say I'm impressed. I never thought this could be such a good show! This season is definitely the best ,yet. The Haqua and Keima encounter in the bath scene had me rolling!

Right haha, I like how keima was all calm and serious. They've done a fabulous job on S3, good mix of romance and comedy.

I think I've been watching too much anime this past week. First it was The Knight in the Area, then, The World God Only Knows, and now Sword Attack Online(Moments were tear-breaking for me :() What should I watch next? Attack on Titan and Hunter X Hunter are possibilities.

Yeah I am, just don't have a premium account yet. I've seen Kuroko's basketball and am anticipating for the second season.

I saw the first episode this morning. It was cool. I will be watching for more. The graphics take some getting used to for me. It's more like a video game than I'm used to.
