Just proves my point about most of you guys living in the past. How you any different from Lakers fans? Oh wait you supporting something that didn't win.
If Brooks is back and Lin is dealt, I want Beverley to start. Beverley with hisDistribution and Defense, will be a better complement to the starting lineup Brooks can play the Terry role (2011 Dallas) and provide that spark off the bench since he can create his own offense. Lin isn't going to Portland btw, he's going to be dealt to a 3rd team TBD. It makes no senses since Portland's got Lillard already.
Maybe Bev is going to get traded. It's not outside the realm of possibility and he probably has a higher trade value than Lin. Plus, Howard and Harden said they wanted to play with Lin so he may not get traded. .. Unless Morey was bullsh***ng about being the assistant GM. Or they are pushing Lin to the bench and making him a shooting guard.
maybe cuz it's not 2009? im not saying it's bad. but i dont know how necessary it is, and he isn't the same player obviously.
Because it's 2013, not 2009. I don't see a reason to "love" the signing for anything other than sentimental reasons. That said there's no reason to "hate" it either. It's a minimum signing of a back of the bench guy who is here for emergency depth, nothing more.
We're talking about a guy who couldn't even get consistent minutes in Sacramento, and we're thinking that he can readily come in and contribute to a team that's in the midst of contending? Oh the irony.
Good to see a familiar face back Brooks didn't play a lot last season but every time I watched him play he played pretty well. Not sure how many minutes he can play a night though.
He makes the team better, more options folks should be excited, even if he is just extra depth, the team got better. DD
Is it utterly blasphemous to think Beverley could be gone? His value may be higher than Lin due to his contract and youth. Just a thought.
I just want to go on record saying I will be F-U-R-I-O-U-S if Bev is sent packing. I am not here for that at all.
I'm not sure any rational basketball people expected Lin to be the same as he was during his run in NY.....I certainly didn't. That doesn't mean that he's not still the starter on the Rockets. He still has a decent upside, it's just not what he was in NY.
