Aaron will probably be used as a combo guard, alongside Beverly off the bench. After all he's essentially a SG in a PG's body, and has shown he can be a 20 point per game scorer in this league. Giving us a great scoring punch off the bench. Bench: Beverly/ Brooks/ Garcia or Casspi / Jones or D-Mo/ Asik The rooks - Canaan, BJ Young and Covington - will probably be assigned to the league for the entire year.
Send Lin to third team who sends good young player and/or pick(s) to Portland. I bet Cleveland, Philadelphia or Sacramento would be interested
I'd say he's a pretty damn solid 3rd pg even if you wanna call him "mediocre". I think it's a smart move to have AB out there who has playoff experience and plays with heart. It definitely cannot hurt to have a veteran pg who can help out Lin and Beverley.
Lin isn't being traded. It just the crazies here who wants it to happen. Nor is he losing his starting job to Brooks. If the man couldn't keep the starter spot on the Kings roster of all places, why in the world would you think he replace Lin?
First of all, we don't know what other offers he got. Second of all, its a 1 year deal so its somewhat of a proving ground for Aaron. Third of all, he shot 48% on his non 3's in the playoffs. And for Sactown he shot 46% from the field and 38% for 3's last year. Cherry picking stats is a horrible debate tactic.
I don't see why everyone is freaking out over having 4 PG's. We've rolled with 5 before. Remember when we had Alston, Brooks, Francis, Bobby Jackson and Mike James all on the roster at the same time not too long ago.
But who? I was trying to come up with a trade scenario that has a third team involved but I can't find any realistic option.
