Could actually mean the opposite. If Canaan impressed at the team gathering in LA, that may have made the Rockets more comfortable with the idea of trading Lin or Beverley.
I'm not saying this is a maxim or anything, but since when does salary automatically equate to talent? That is unless you think Agent 0 is worth that 20+ million he's getting paid this year or that Chandler Parson's is grossly overpaid....
For those thinking Caanan won't count as a roster spot on the Rockets if he plays in RVG then you are wrong.
And what Pat Bev made the All Star team last year? "Linsanity" happened last year??? There isn't 1 guard out of the 4 HOU has now -- WHO IS HEADS & SHOULDERS ABOVE the rest!!!!
It's certainly possible Brooks will be PG3 next season, but also possibly it means we may see a Lin trade. We will see. Anyway, excited for Brooks to be back. Great fit here!
Maybe some relief for Lin on Clutchfans? Brooks has always been a polarizing figure on here for the last several years. Now we'll have plenty of debates about him too. Maybe it's something about point guards?
It doesn't "automatically" equate to talent, but when you are an unrestricted free agent and you can't get any more than the minimum, there's a reason for it. Apparently there are some Rockets fans who were really impressed by his 11% 3 point shooting against the Thunder in the playoffs last year while filling in, but I just don't see him as any more than a fringe NBA player at this point.
