Idk but Jennings can be had for pennies on the dollar at this point and a small market team in desperate need for a pg would love Lin. It'd be like NY all over again with the likely free reign Lin would have. Just idle musings of a trade that would likely be accepted by the other team rather than LMA for Asik and a first rounder.
I believe you are correct that DM the assistant GM could do a deal with Bucks in a NewYorkMinute. I am not so certain that he has any intention to do so, however.
Morey has rolled the dice before. I see Jennings like JR Smith bad attitude guys with talent but if you gamble like NY did and make him a sixth man you could seem similar results. Ideally you just get him at the qualifying offer and hopefully it dawns on him that if he wants that big payday he's going to have to earn it. Explain it that he'll be the spark off the bench, that he'll get plenty of minutes and if he works on his d, shot, and attitude the payday will come. If it doesn't work out sign and trade him or just dump him. But a change of scenery to a true contender with a fun young group could be just what he needs. Bev/Jennings/Canaan Harden/Garcia Parsons/Cassp Illyasova/DMo Howard/Asik That'd be a fun team to watch.
Do not want Jennings unless its a one-year guarantee with non-guaranteed seasons following. Jennings armed with 4 years of guaranteed money is a boat anchor. He'll be untradable.
