Montas decreased stats across the board almost every year. This is his time to click and will be better than Lebron. Calderon has never played with a player like monta or dirk, he will be like magic. Dirk is a year off of his knee injury and will be back to prime. Book it, champs. That was easy to do!
And it isn't only Lakers fans that are delusional. Cue typical Dallas fan on ESPN: "Agree completely. He took a swing and missed, but a majority of key players on that championship team happened to be free agents the following year and wanted to get paid over there market value. I actually like the team he put together. Carlisle likes teams with experience and depth, and he has both right now. Barring Dirk missing 27 games again and taking another month+ on top of that to get back in game shape they should be a 4 or 5 seed at the least."
To be fair, Cuban did manage to get a younger, less-championship Dwyane Wade in the offseason. That's certainly not a bad consulation prize for missing out on Dwight Howard.
oh yes... a PF who can shoot the 3 well as well as post up is the right ingredient when you have a dominant center and the best SG in the league right now. pick your poisons... get it dun muraay.
If Cuban wants to lure LeBron, Melo, or any other star free agent next year he needs to present them with a win now roster. Ellis' contract starts at 8M while Calderon's is at 6.8M. They'll have the cap room going forward.
He could be right. We were better off missing Howard the first time around. And with Howard, we still don't know if we are better off.
lol honestly ive lost alot of respect for cuban in terms of his knowledge of basketball.. hes a business man.
When Cuban misses out on Lebron...again he'll say they were lucky since Lebron is past his prime and doesn't have the hunger because he's won 3 rings
This has just been the greatest off-season ever. Cuban flailing around trying to convince people he's still the Magic Man, the Lakers entire belief system crumbling at the core because a major star decided to leave them in his prime, and the Rockets getting the biggest free agent splash this city has seen since....well.....EVER. I iz happy.
