Is he playing online? Just let him play on offline mode. When the steam client boots up, just choose the offline mode, and you both can play at the same time
Yeah, I guess that could work. He's been mainly playing Portal and a few other kid friendly game. But so many things are online connected nowadays it seems I would be hedging my bet by doing it this way. I don't think there's a downside to it is there?
Damn, I didn't realize you guys were still playing. I haven't fired it up for a few months. Will have to get some games in this weekend.
I've been playing on and off. Haven't touched it seriously in a while. DOTA 2. I've made a mistake starting it, now I can't stop.
GTA IV complete edition for $7.50. Amazon price matched Steam for COD BO2 and has 15%off code. so I might get that then.
I bought this game during the last sale, I think. I liked it for a day or two, then got bored with it. I should probably revisit it. Then again maybe it's because I'm comparing it to games like Galactic Civilizations, Master of Orion, etc.
So, don't the daily deals show up again on the last day? I'm seriously considering Tomb Raider, but I'd prefer to wait until I know what some of the other deals are.
NBA 2k13 on sale for $7.50. might pick that up since my bootleg one doesnt have association. Also picked up Rainbow Six Vegas 2 for $6.50. That was my teenage years right there, Love that game.

System Shock 2 is $2.49. It's 12 years old, but Jesus, it is a creepy game. And it is the basis for the Bioshock and Deus Ex series. My favorite game ever. I can't recommend it enough, unless you simply freak out unless you have cutting edge graphics. I've played it 100 times, but I think I'll buy it again at that price.
I played it for a bit a long, long time ago but I never finished it. I bought it yesterday for the price because I figure it would still hold up and... well, and it's only $2.49. Hehe.
Being from a generation that hasn't ever been exposed to graphics of that caliber, I don't think I can ever play retro games. I can't play games without at the very least decent graphics. I couldn't even play Morrowind. Its a curse.
That's a shame. So many good games. And what about Nintendo GBA or DS games. My son is 10 and he loves all the old games I introduce him too. Then again he is heads over heel for Minecraft and it's graphics are blocky as shiz.
Strangely, I can play Minecraft. Its a game that really never sold itself on being a serious one. I think its related honestly to the level of seriousness that the game tries to give off relative to its graphics. I can't play Morrowind because of that reason. Yet, I can play Minecraft. I tried the Doom series, Deus Ex, Mario. No dice. I just can't play past ten minutes with games like that.
