Don't know if any of you were taking I45 North around Hobby Airport Sunday night, but there was a motorcycle accident that shut down the freeway. Turns out my friend was the one involved. He went to Ben Taub, and now he's dead. 22 years old and was a good amateur boxer was about to turn pro. Just had a baby too. Tragic. I've never dealt with a death of someone that I knew so well and in my age range. Memories are running through my head all day. It's really hard to accept. RIP Friend

FYI at first glance most will look at speeding + no helmet + single rider accident and think Darwin, but it was actually an unmarked unpainted new on ramp extension that is impossible to see at night. Really messed up situation.

Sorry for your loss. That's why I'd never buy a motorcycle, one crash and you can be seriously injured or dead, while the car has a bump or minor damage.

Damn. My dream scenario for Houston's roads would not have that.

    RIP.

Not what I read, but it likely wouldn't have mattered either way.

Heartfelt condolences for the loss of your friend! The loss of someone we know be it
a family member or a friend is always difficult. In situations like these not only do we
have to deal with our loss but it also brings us face to face with our own mortality. I
hope this unfortunate tragedy will help you value the time that you have with loved
ones and cherish the memories that you've shared.

Sorry for your lose. All these accidents are making have second thoughts about buying a motorcycle. Last week a co-worker broke his femur after a motorcycle accident. I have owned 2 bikes before and I'm looking to buy one towards the end of the year but I don't know if I should now.
