Mike Miller an option?

Of course he should be looking at it for playing time. It isn't all that rewarding to be a player on a championship team that never plays.

I really liked Mike Miller in his prime and would be fine with him on the minimum, but of course OKC is a better spot for him. I'm not sure he would be ahead of Garcia on the depth chart. This is why a guy like Reggie Williams is fine to play here, but a guy who can legit get real minutes probably doesn't.

Garcia is a 3 or small-ball 4 at this stage of his career, Miller is a 2 or small-ball 3. There's room for Miller at 15-20 minutes/game here... it's not as if he would "never play". The difference is that if several things break right, he could crack 25 in Memphis or OKC whereas he couldn't here. I just don't A) think his body can handle it and B) think that minimal difference should drive his decision. Plenty of others have regretted making decisions on that.

Miller would definitely be ahead of Garcia on the depth chart IMO. Anyway, both of them are in their 30's and both have had injury problems, so it would be good to have the extra depth, especially if it would allow us to reduce Harden's and Parsons' minutes slightly.

Rockets have enough 3 pt shooting would have taken him before Casspi but now he's useless. Only thing Rockets need now is a wing defender, which he won't provide.

Miller would be able to get 25 minutes for all three teams if things break right for him. I don't really think that will be the deciding factor for him.

He jumped at the chance to play behind Lebron and Wade.

True, but he supposedly asked Miami for a trade early last season due to playing time concerns. That combined with his family situation in Memphis has me skeptical. Would love to have him, though.

Interest means nothing.... You have to finalize it.... Camby is a band aid for one season

Let broken players like Marcus and Mike go to the Knicks, where all old/broken players go.

Small sample, but in the last 11 games of the regular season (after the streak ending loss) where the Heat got rest for their stars, Miller averaged: 26 MPG, 52.3% FG, 51.5% 3FG, 5 RPG, 3.6 APG, 11.5 PPG. So he didn't just need the stars to create shots for him like people have been saying. I think it would be reasonable to expect similar production given a consistent ~20 MPG.

Yes. We've signed a couple of bums to fill his spot when hurt.

Drew Gooden just got amnestied. He would be a much better option then miller. He is a 4 with range and is also a good rebounder with size.
