defending against the skyhook is like bringing a knife to a sword fight.

defending against the dream shake is like bringing a knife to a knife fight but the other guy has like 20 knives.

I dont think it is homerism to say our big man class is as formidable as the lakers. There is a reason D12 wanted to be mentored by hakeem and not kareem, and for them to treat houston as such a small city with no history or anyone comparable to a laker is crap, i mean its not like he went to the bobcats or something.

I mean, the only exception to this may be back when Karl Malone and Gary Peyton tried to win it all and went to the Lakers. I wonder if they blame Kobe too? http://www.clutchfans.net/bbs/images/smilies/smile.gif

The thing I guess I just don't get is why everyone thinks it's just ok for Kobe to be an ass, and that putting on that "pressure to be great" is what it takes to win championships.

Coach Mchale said it best during the Dwight Presser, "I played against a guy named Magic Johnson that was always smiling and always having a good time, and kicking my butt while he was doing it."

As far as I'm concerned, Kobe is a selfish malcontent who's only goal in life is being the best individual basketball player that ever lived (its downright arguable at this point), and while there is nothing wrong with that train of thought; Nelly (of all people) hit the nail on the head when he said no one wants to play with someone that acts like that, or for a fan-base that gives him every excuse in the world to justify his crappy demeanor.

haha loving this. Man that woman is a crybaby and a biatch, the bias is just too obvious on ESPN. Steven A. showing his real feelings about Dwight leaving again..that pressure story is bull****. You really think the Rockets are going to settle for just a conference finals or anything? LA was never a serious contender, even with Dwight and Kobe healthy, only the media thought they were going to be champions.
