Well regardless the roster is full so he'll have to <s>play</s> wear a suit on te bench somewhere else.
Come on, you know there are at least two guys there that the Rockets would cut in a heartbeat if they think an upgrade is available. Not saying Miller necessarily is, but the fact that the roster is currently at 15 isn't a big stumbling block.
Let me repeat this: He didn't have back issues last season again. He had an ear infection that caused him to miss several games in February. Considering the Heat were setting record-breaking streaks, i imagine they told him to go home and don't rush coming back. He usually keep playing and tries to work through his back issues, but he finally just rested this off season and got it treated. He said his back was healthy and proved it. Shoots 40% from three and is healthy. What's the problem? Y'all seem to forget we don't have any real 3pt sharpshooters. All of our guys, on avg, shoot closer to 35% from three. Miller has shot 40% for his career and it's a long one.
There is no one I would cut on this team to make the room. Covington has the potential to be a Mike Miller type player. We also need a SG so Young needs to stay. Develop the young talent and see what you have before you go after injury prone vets
I would love to have Mike Miller on this team backing up Chandler. The man can't miss in the Finals! Did y'all watch Game 5 of the 2012 NBA Finals or see that he made 16 of his last 18 3 PFG in the 2013 Finals (before Game 7)??
Actually, we could get him for the vet minimum because Miami still has to pay him the rest of his contract with the Heat, they just don't get a cap hit.
The roster is not a problem, we will have some trade before season opening like last year's Harden trade
Unlikely. Unless we trade Asik or Lin no one is getting traded before the season and Morey already said Asik is saying and I'm assuming noone wants Lin.
Mike Miller is not only a shooter, his rebound is excellent, his pass is good, his defense is underrated
the roster isn't set until week one of the NBA anyway, teams usually have it up to 17-18 players on it during the pre season games and players don't get cut until just before opening day in the regular season
The market for Miller should be somewhat limited. I'm not sure how the bidding process works, but we still have our room exception: $2.652 million/year. That should be enough to get him, and it won't interfere with our pursuit of a max free agent in 2015 free agency.
