His foot was ruined as well. Still ate Lopezs lunch money.

THIS. Even though it is close race between Noah, Asik and Chandler (for the 4th, 5th and 6th best center spots), the edge goes to Asik due to his low mileage, contract and upside (he has yet to reach his peak, while Noah and Chandler are known commodities).

Noah is a better center than asik right now.....not saying it's not close at all. But I'll take noah>asik

All variables being the same, Noah is better than Asik.

Reality is all variables aren't the same; he's on a better contract and less injury concerns.

I like that he's still close to JVG despite "firing" him. I like that a lot. And yeah, being close to SVG... a little peculiar. But I like it. You can never have too many friends when you're a GM.

Haha. Seriously though it was interesting stuff. He should do more TV. On a side note, does Wilbon ever do PTI anymore or is he off for good? I liked the Kornheiser/Wilbon dynamic a lot but who the hell watches TV at 4:30pm or whenever.

now this I can agree with. If you're talking about overall value when you add in the contract I agree. Same thing goes with chandler. I still think some of you guys overrated him slightly but he's a very good player and when you add his contract in his value goes up even more

Did you watch Asik in the play-offs against a superior team (on both offense & defense) then what Noah played against? He was a man beast not to mention his clutch performance in game 5 where he sealed the game.

    BTW their play-off stats:

    Asik
    12.3 PPG
    11.2 RPG
    1.7 BPG

    Noah
    10.8 PPG
    9.8 RPG
    2.2 BPG

Asik is every bit as good as Noah. Both are tireless. Both greatly effect the game on the Defensive end of the floor like few others.

Both are terrific centers but don't give me some crock that Asik is not as good as Noah and only a homer would think that.

So only h2h matters? Then PJ Tucker is better than James Harden. Noah is better than Asik, probably on both ends.

yeah im with you and crash on this one...think keeping asik (and keeping him happy) this season should be at the top of the agenda...has any other team tried this before? having 2 elite defenders/rebounders at the 5?

Actually Jerry West wanted to get Harden and pay him the max. And if West is going after a player... Well, you know.

Marc Gasol averages 7.8 freaking rebounds per game because he has a 15-11 player beside him at power forward.

Rockets do not even have a PF averaging 6 rebounds / game.......

I would too for this reason: Noah is a great passer and will fit better with Dwight.

For two big men to co-exist on the court, one has to be a great passer who can hit his mid-rangers. Noah and Gasol's fit that description perfectly!

Are you crazy, Lopez offensively is 10 times better than Asik. And Asik is not that much better defensively. Now rebouding Asik is much better than Lopez.
