I've been a Rockets fan for over 10 years now, long before JLin arrived. All that time I've rooted for any and all player who happened to wear the red and white (or yellow). For example I rooted for McGrady when half of those here on Clutchfans were calling him things like Me-Mac, and T-Bac; I rooted for KMart when seemingly everyone wanted him traded; I even tried to get people to see the best in JVG instead of simply calling for his head. I like Bev and Harden, and I root for them too: no way I want them to fail as Rockets or are pushing for them to get traded. Meanwhile I root for JLin b/c I'm a Rockets fan and the guy is our starting point guard! Do I think he should get traded? Maybe. Who knows? It really doesn't matter. All the while he is a Rockets I root for him to do his best. I even rooted for Rafer Alston, believe it or not!
that's not happening. unlike most of the Lin fans on this particular thread, i have no problem calling it like i see it. I have no intention of sugar-coating things to frame the truth. i'm not blinded by team homerism. that's not my style
No problem, always great knowing there is someone below me on the food-chain. Please don't get your Sun snuffed out too early, the predators might get to me next
You do realize that Jeremy controlled our high-octane offense more than anybody else except Harden right. Or that he shot like 40% from 3, reduced his turnovers over the second half of the season, right? So, if Lin outperforms Chandler next year even by your standards, would you call Parsons the weakest link and dog him? Just stop hating. I see that logic isn't your strong suit, do just stop the hate. It's really that simple.
Stop hiding behind the "I'm just being honest. Can't you take a little criticism" bs that's so popular around here. There's no hiding from facts. Everyone knows what Jeremy did or didn't do but when you make up stuff, just to hate, it's downright sad. I know he's the unpopular kid now and it's "cool" to make fun of him but come on. Have a little dignity and stop hating.
PB really impressed you with a ZERO assist in one game. Your measuring stick for PB is surely low. Had Lin not injured and gave a zero assist game, all hell would break loose for the haters, but not if PB did it. PB as the backup pg had 82 games to prove he was better than Lin to direct the potent high octane offence, but he was a no show in many many games. 3 playoff games is too small a sample and he had a zero assist game as a point guard.
no, you need to stop being overly sensitive because someone has constructive criticism for your NBA crush. stop giving Lin a free pass, he has a lot to prove and isn't free from criticism.
In game 6 Bev scored 11 points and had only 1 assist (in 30-plus minutes) In game 7 Bev scored 8 points (on 11 shots) and had 0 assists. In both games the player whom Bev was guarding--Reggie Jackson--scored 20-plus points. Also in those games Bev had high foul totals which led to late free throws. Let's give this guy the starting job, yeah.
if you want to knock down Beverly to prop up Jeremy, fine. Fact is, Beverley elevated himself in the playoffs and surprised many of us with his overall performance. Lin in the games he played in the playoffs? he was what he was in the regular season, Average at best.
call it like you see it? i'm wondering how many of the games you actually watch with both eyes open. even posters that aren't fans of JLin acknowledge that he's improved throughout the year. i'm all for different opinions and hashing it out on the GARM but not if argument's basis makes no logical sense. now i'm just wondering if you went to known college or college at all b/c your level of cognition indicates "hell no." yes, i'd like a side of fries with that....keep the change, you prob need it (not sure if you even understand this...can't give you too much credit)
you're too curious, you're suffocating me already. please stick to basketball issues and not attempt to stalk me like you do with Jeremy Lin.
you sensitive jeremy lin fans crack me up. you go as low to try to personally attack me just so that you can protect your boyfriend, Jeremy Lin. Sorry, but i'm not going to back down from my convictions. Lin MUST improve significantly, and he has a lot to prove, especially now that this team is aiming for a championship. Average will not get it done, and average is what he has proven to be so far.
If you don't like what vp has to say PUT HIM IN YOUR BLOCK LIST. I'm getting sick of this whiny attitude from both sides.
Oh hell no, dude. I'm just applying your mind-boggling, eye-opening logic to my posts, that's all. Using your way of analysis, you're Jeremy Lin on this board and I'm Patrick Beverly. You are a weaker link then me on this forum, and I deserve to start over you. So in short, you're below me on the food-chain ranking. You'll get chomped up by the predators first. Then I'm next Hope you don't get traded to another forum too early... I won't have another person for folks to laugh at and compare how poor of a poster I am on this board... you're excellent cover for all my weaknesses! P.S. Sorry Jeremy Lin and Patrick Beverly, I didn't mean to get you involved, linked to or in any way compared with this Vpballa guy. P.S.S. I really hope for sure you weren't born in 1991, VPBalla. You would give 1991-ers a bad rep with your distorted way of analysis and thinking P.S.S.S. And with that, I am now getting out of this thread. I am still waiting for the guy who started this trend of "Jeremy Lin Is A Joke" threads, Dei The Great, to show up.... he will get my attention. This VPballa is a nobody (like me) and nothing more then a short-term distraction at the end of the day.....
yea, keep assuming i'm just a LOF cause we all how smart you already are. you still don't answer how many games you've watched. give me some statistical information proving your point that he didn't improve throughout the year and maybe people will take you seriously. yeah, and stocked teams with nearly all above average players like the lakers last year automatically get it done. or like the 2004 lakers with kobe, shaq, malone and payton. you make this too easy for everyone. it's like picking on someone with the intelligence of an 8th grader...oh wait
