Shaq had fun... But Shaq had Kobe and Wade to close games out and carry the team when he couldn't (especially with Wade).

Don't forget we have Harden on this team. And many fans have said all Harden needs is some help... Well that's what Howard is "Harden's Help".

Harden is the one with the ball in his hands most of the time and because of Howard's poor free throw shooting Harden will be the one depended on when the game is on the line.

I agree the the team should have fun while working towards a championship. DH especially as it's in his nature.

But I don't agree with dismissing the OP for raising his concerns.

Last year, the team went through a 7 game losing streak. Thanks to the high character guys on our team, they pulled through it and went back to winning. The question is, is DH of the same character, especially when he is now considered the leader? It's a valid question.

But as I said, I think he will do fine because if he is smiling, he is winning. He said himself, he wants to make people around him happy by smiling. It's the sort of character that would fit in with this young team, unlike LA.

 

Having fun does not meant not being dedicated to the job. Look at Sir Charles.
And seeing how Dwight transform his body, I have no problem with him having fun.

But I kind of understand the OP's message. Will Dwight demand for a trade if things are not going smoothly or in other words, when its not fun.

 

No one is allowed to have fun, that's how you build a successful team culture.

Yeah Magic smiled a lot, but behind those pearly whites you could tell there was some seriously sharp teeth ready to tear into the opponent's jugular. It's the sense I got whenever he talked about the game. Same goes for Isaiah Thomas, another major a-hole with a bright smile.
