"The party's just getting started. This is where the fun starts."

Bryant greeted the media after the Game 2 defeat while wearing a pair of yellow Gucci sunglasses he must have found in Elton John's glove box, and said: "The party's just getting started. This is where the fun starts."

Didn't Lebron DANCE during games? And/or pose for fake pictures?

This guy below won a title, he's having fun!

This guy was always smiling, he's successful now.

This guy never smiled, he killed himself.

They were both successful. One is rich, the other is dead. And Randy Moss, he owns a truck racing team or something and has an awesome accent.

I want him to have fun too. A pouty Dwight is the last thing I want to see.

    And winning is always fun!

JVG talked about this on a podcast in relation to Dwight and how winning championships is not fun until the fact. And referenced how Lebron and Wade talked all season about how gruelling and exhausting it is when you are locked in on the goal of a championship.

Dwight took a far less talented team to the finals so I don't buy in that he's only here to enjoy himself he knows the work and dedication its going to take to win a championship.

Most important McHale knows it better than anyone in the organization and seems to have really developed a good relationship with Dwight, having Dream around too is going to be huge

I think concern about him wanting to have fun is looking for problems where none are. Basketball is a game. Games are meant to be fun, added to which he and the rest of the NBA's players get paid copious amounts of money to play a game as their career. It damn well better be fun to be rich and play a game for a living. Dedication, hard work, drive to excel and be the best are part and parcel to anyone who takes pride in their job, no matter what they do for a career.

I hope he does have fun. He gets to play for one of the premier franchises now, with other young, mega-talented players, and gets to have his mentor help train him to be the best everyday now that Olajuwon is employed by the Rockets, I would imagine in a trainer/mentor/coach type role.

Dwight should have the time of his life in Houston. FUN FUN FUN

3 pages and no mention of the greatest Rocket ever?
    Olajuwon always smiled.

The game should be fun. I think guys like Kobe tend to drive other players away because they take everything too GD serious all the time. The Heat have fun playing the game, and they just won back to back titles. Should Dwight be more serious than he has been in the past, maybe so, but that doesn't mean it's bad for him to have fun playing basketball.

Dwight Howard came into the league as a twig and grown to be the most dominant center in NBA today. I don't think you can question his work ethics

I have fun playing basketball when I have to try my hardest and compete, even in a pick up game. Every all time great has fun, even if they look serious on the court.

It's always a fun challenge to go up against a tough opponent.

I will end this smiling nonsense. When Dwight was playing for the Magic where he was the happiest and smiling, MVP-type seasons- he led the league twice in technicals. With the Magic, one season he led the league in personal fouls (18) and other seasons top 5-10 in personal fouls. 3/4 of the list year after year with most technicals are All-Stars, or HOF. I don't think any of these are Ron Artest fun fouls. Seriously, this man will hurt you defensively.

So he must hate his job in order to do well. Sound about right.

So I guess you have NEVER seen a player laughing and joking during a game?

There once was a quote by a man who said about basketball:

"You play this game to win, to have fun, and to make people happy, and if I accomplish all three of those things I've done what I set out to do."

That man was Earvin "Magic" Johnson probably the only man with a bigger smile than Dwight's. And he did a pretty good job having fun and winning. Heck Dwight has done an ok job who took a team to the NBA Finals. If you can't have fun doing your job then it's just that, a job.
