Slight concern with the "I want to have fun comments" by Dwight

    We could post pictures of players smiling and laughing, which is great, but we could also post a 1,000 pics of players showing frustration (i.e., when Jordan was getting hammered by the Pistons, when Lebron was getting knocked to the floor by the Celtics and his mom wanted to fight, when Magic dropped an elbow on Isiah, when Seattle was bullying the Rockets, especially Payton against the KJet). None of them would describe that as fun.

    The question is what happens when Dwight becomes frustrated and the Rockets aren't winning like he expected. Is he expecting to win the NBA title year 1, 2, or 3 and what happens if that doesn't occur? What is he going to do?

    Nick Saban answered critics who say he looks like he isn't having fun coaching.

    He said that they are wrong. He said it is fun... when he's winning. If he wins, he has fun.

    I don't get your point? Dwight never said anything about only wanting to have fun or only being capable of having fun if you win a title.

    Nothing you are saying makes sense. You are just buying into the whole myth that winning a title in the NBA is somehow about being a "killer" on the court. Magic Johnson had a ton of fun playing the game. Shaq had a ton of fun playing the game.

    Just because you are focused and serious get frustrated during a game doesn't mean you aren't enjoying yourself.

    The problem here is that you're trying to make an issue for Dwight that could be an issue for anyone. Why aren't you asking the same of any other player on our team?

    So why are you singling out Dwight Howard here instead of generalizing for anyone? Seems trolly to me.

    Being a professional athlete is inherently ridiculous. Grown men being paid millions of dollars to bounce around a leather ball for an arena full of people. If you're no having fun you're doing it wrong.

    Of course he bolts. He bolts from the Magic and left the Lakers. What else do you think could happen?

    But hey, everyone is having fun. Why are you pooping the party? Enjoy it while we can and trash him when things really go sour.

    There is no point wondering if the sky would fall in the future. It's not like you would survive just because you thought about it before everyone else.
