NBA basketball is GM (grown man's) sport played by some of the most athletic men in the world.

It requires dedication, skill, heart (don't ever underestimate the heart of a champion - Rudy T), heartbreak (losing to Seattle and Utah), learning, improving, and overcoming disappointment.

None of the previous words mention is what I would call fun. So what happens when Dwight has to go through all of that and hits the walk ala MJ (Pistons) LeBron (Celtics), Kobe, Dirk, etc.. (every champion goes through this) does he give up on Htown or does he dig in like Dream/LeBron/Kobe and make himself a champion in spite of the obstacles?

Because I haven't heard any of the past champions describe making yourself an NBA Champion fun.

Kevin McHale and Clyde Drexler both backed up the idea that having fun playing the game is important.

Also, Michael Jordan had fun playing basketball. People don't know how to understand fun apparently. Jordan may have expressed himself differently, but don't think for a moment that he didn't enjoy the game.

Dwight's work ethic has never been questioned by anyone except media people trying to bash him.

I don't really see this being an issue. Plenty of players can enjoy and play hard at the same time. Not sure why it has to be mutually exclusive.

Well I think its hard to win in Philly, LA, Chicago, Boston, and other super critical cities because even if you are good, you still inherently suck when compared to their memories of superstars past.

I agree, I think Dwight should aspire to miserable. In fact, I think if all of us as a society want to be successful, we should try to be as unhappy as possible.

How dare he enjoy what he does!

Looking at his build you can tell he doesn't take conditioning serious.

I think Carlos Delfino is the perfect example that having fun while playing can rejuvenate a career.

I hate this crowd that thinks if you have fun on the court then you will never achieve anything. Remember LeBron's first year in Miami where everyone told him to stop laughing, dancing, and he forced himself to be a huge ******* and taunt people on the court? Where did that get him.

**** you Kobe nuthuggers. Having fun is part of the game. You don't have to be a complete ******* like Kobe to be successful.

There are two types of greats...

The ones that are completely serious (Kobe Bryant) and the ones that like to have fun (Shaq).

There is nothing wrong with enjoying the game...having fun and wanting to win arent mutually exclusive.
