Good looking guys who are able to shoot, defend, and drive don't come around that often. Parsons is a complete NBA player. He is not the best in any single category, but he is our glue and a vital part of our core.

Also, a good white player is a premium, because more whites pay and watch BB than blacks; he's more marketable for that fact alone. Kudos to Parsons for improving his game, but he's not yet a for sure all-star. He has to learn to create his own shots and open up for teammates, among other things, to get to that level.

LOL.. damn he's salty about jeremy. for someone that he considers a scrub, jeremy sure has a lot of his attention.

oh and lin dropped 22/8 on them this very night, so yeah, they did lose to lin twice, and they lost at msg because of lin.

I would say the biggest weakness in his game is he cannot effectively create his own shots. That's my impression for having watched him play for one season. But pretty decent (not great) in all other areas. I would say he's worth at least $6 Mill USD even now, but he's in an ideal team for his playing style.

Parsons is a very nice player. He had a very nice second half last year and has not showed signs that his skills have plateaued. He was top 30 in scoring after the all star break on very good percentages. Howard seems to be the type of star one would expect that Parsons can play off of very well, too.

I don't think he will ever be a star, but he could become the best non-all star SF. He could revert back to last year's season average which would still be better than most players in the NBA. I'm very interested to see if he can maintain being the very highly efficient 18 ppg scorer that he was after the break and in the playoffs among with being a jack of all trades.

Did y'all see how chandler had that lady flustered?

Calling them the Houston Rockers and then that look she gave him at :35 sec.

He's like a vampire in True Blood.

Parsons is a a core piece for us. He is a perfect complimentary player to Harden and Howard because he does everything well, yet does not need to have the ball in his hands. You could argue the Heat struggled at first because it is hard to have a superstar turning into the 3d option - we clearly have 2 superstars that compliment each other perfectly and a do it all guy - that is a great core.

Nobody is saying Parsons is a star yet - but he is our 3d most important piece and argueably the face of the franchise.

Yea, I remember last season during the end of a quarter in a game Harden was out, so they let Parsons iso the last play. He did some awkward dribble and lost the ball even without pressure from the defender, it was pretty funny. So he probably isn't the greatest shot creator but that's not what we need at this point. He plays very well off the ball, cuts hard, defends well when he's locked in.

It's funny, at the beginning of the season, Parson's had a string of bad games, and the whole board was down on him. All the sudden he's the next coming of Larry Legend (I'm over-exaggerating...but you get the point). I'd be happy if he has the career track of Tayshaun Prince. His numbers probably won't get much higher with DH12 on board now but more efficient. He'll be a rocket for as long as Morey's GM, since his daughter would kill him if he ever let CP25 go.

he erroneously referred to mchale as a center when he played......and towards the end he basically referred to their new core as howard, harden, and himself....perhaps a hint that he thinks lin or omer might be traded down the line.......anyways, nice interview

Yes, he's got to be standing on something lol..

I think he's just trying to be assertive and imply he's going to step it up a level this season. He thinks they are the big 3.

He can definitely ball., but being marketable (i.e., pretty) never hurt anybody. Ask Skylar Diggins.

if you're a star, or perceived star, you'll always be on a date with SAS, whether you know it or not.

he's a smart player and knows exactly when to cut and where to cut to. he needs another playmaker with him on the floor (lin or harden) but can make them look really good (and vise versa). i like his game... a little old school, and not just dependent on going one and one and taking his man off the dribble. he did well in our system, and would also flourish in a system like san antonio.

Not overrated. A lot is expected of him going into next season though. He put up some pretty solid numbers last year and his performance against OKC was impressive. He basically saved the Rockets from a sweep in Game 4 when Harden was stinking up the joint. I think he could flirt with an All-Star appearance in the near future.

    He's definitely a core piece.

Dude shot 49% from the field last year, 39% from 3 while averaging over 5 rebounds and 3.5 assists a game.

Those shooting numbers are really good. He has a chance to be a 50/40 guy with solid defense and passing ability plus a completely unselfish attitude.

If he can get his defense back to a good level (last year wasn't GOOD but wasn't bad either) he would be a star piece.
