I am surprised you think he should have been convicted of manslaughter given the lack of evidence. What's your rationale here? I think the only way is if you could show that GZ intent was in fact to kill TM and he used unnecessary force or instigated the fight. None of that can be proven. I don't think you can ask someone who is on the ground to have to choose between getting physically pummeled or taking the other person out.
This is true.....that said the DOJ would approach this case as a hate crime if they decide to take it any farther. Problem with that is the DOJ is going to have to completely disregard the extensive FBI investigation that said no hate crime/civil rights violation took place. Basically what we have here with the DOJ is a dog and pony show and if on the remote chance the DOJ does decide to indulge in some lunacy and attempt to try this case all that Zimmerman's lawyer's will have to do is trot to the stand more than a few FBI investigators and their testimonies that will blow the DOJ's case to smithereens. In my opinion aside from the civil litigation that is likely to take place the criminal aspects of this case has come to a conclusion.
Alan Dershowitz: Cory should be disbarred and the DOJ should investigate her for violating Zimmerman's civil rights http://www.realclearpolitics.com/vi...secutor_angela_corey_should_be_disbarred.html
Fun fact......from 1980-2008, 84% of ALL caucasians murdered were murdered by other CAUCASIANS. From blacks the number was 93%. So what does that tell you? The overwhelming of murders during that time period were INTRARACIAL. Why is it that we never hear about white on white crime? or asian on asian crime.....but we can't go a single ****ing week without hearing about black on black crime? And yes I have sources......ask and you shall receive.
Some background on both guys. Pretty interesting video To me at least... <iframe width="560" height="315" src="//www.youtube.com/embed/bF-Ax5E8EJc" frameborder="0" allowfullscreen></iframe>
Repped...thanks for posting. I haven't followed this deal very much, but it seems that Trayvon wasn't the best of characters. Zimmerman seemed to have some issues as well.
So at the very least can we admit that Trayvon was a VERY troubled kid? I'm trying to find anything positive going on with him and I can't. Not saying Zimmerman handled anything in the right way, but Trayvon isn't the angel the media has portrayed him to be. Zimmerman certainly doesn't seem to be the racist people are portraying him to be either.
Well yippee ky-ay, blacks jumping at the opportunity to look beyond the facts and victimize themselves. As usual, they seem to be the least happy of all races and even the successful ones will prey on this decision to make them seem relate able to the uninformed who they manipulate. The law isn't based on emotion or hunches, and the prosecution didn't present much of a case. Move on errone, stop hating the white man, the sun will rise again.
He was a 16 year old kid that didn't deserve to die. That doesn't change what happened and no matter his portrayal, you'd have to think Trayvon was a murderer to assume Zimmerman did it in self defense. Proving murder legally is one thing. The fact is the Zimmerman killed a boy.
Sheeyat. People want so desperately to be a part of something to feel bigger than they really are, they'll buy into anything they can scream about. I want everyone to hold hands and acknowledge this was not about race. This was about lax gun control, in the hands of loonies, many of whom post on this board, and the prosecution having a poor case. That's life, you gotta keep moving.
Did I say he deserved to die? It doesn't change the fact he was going down a very bad path in life. There is a lot of evidence that shows that. I don't know if Trayvon actually would have killed Zimmerman, but getting into fights was nothing new for him and he was beating the **** out of Zimmerman. Let's be real...Trayvon wasn't trying to hug it out with Zimmerman on the ground. He was in a very dominant position on concrete landing shot after shot. At the very least he was going to make sure he knocked Zimmerman unconscious IMO.
Zimmerman made the call to 911 before he had even identified the race of the person of interest. He only provided that information when he was asked by the dispatcher. Does that make the dispatcher racist?
