Would they give up Monroe? I'm not really all too familiar with either of their games, but I'd expect teams would be asking for one or the other, and I don't really see why Detroit wouldn't do it.
If you are going to risk your future to sign Josh Smith, might as well risk it all to pair Rondo with Smith and Monroe, imo...
Dumars seems hell bent on creating the worst shooting team ever... Like actually. Will be painful to watch.
think trading for rondo now would be pretty risky...would wait to see how he does the first few weeks after coming back...given bostons plans, wont be surprised to see him go this season
My thoughts on Rajon, is that he stays through the rebuilding in Boston. The Celtics future looks bright just based on all the 1st round picks they have acquired... Detroit or anyone else wanting the services of Rondo are just going to wait for something else. They are just "stuckey"
Last season they were saying Drummond was untouchable because he has a ton of potential. Basically made Monroe expendable.
i think rondo is pretty overrated. he's a great defensive player and rebounder for a guard. he's a great passer who gets a lot of assists, but his inability to shoot 3's or free throws make him a liability on offense.
I think they're more willing to trade Monroe than Drummond, but then Boston want Drummond not Monroe it seems.
Drummond is truly untouchable. With the Josh Smith signing, I have to believe Monroe can be had. IMO, good chance he's gone before the season. Makes no sense to keep him now.
Pistons won't give up Drummond...no way. If that 2012 draft was done over again, Drummond would have been a top 3 pick, maybe even #1 over Anthony Davis. I don't know why he dropped to #9...
Hmmm, if they got Rondo for Monroe, they could be a pretty good team. They would be the worst in the league at FT shooting by far though.
This is one of the most pointless articles ever written. Rivals that of Broussard's 50/50 comments. Reporting some Team A wants Player B, Team B wants Player A, Team A doesn't want to trade Player A for Player B.
Basically, we'll see if Rondo without their Big 3 of the past would be able to get a lot of assists. Assists went down a little bit last year (could be due to injury). http://www.basketball-reference.com/players/r/rondora01.html
